Well, thought I should get a post up on here since my spring Marauder modification plans are about ready to get going. So far, I have had the new Flowmaster mufflers installed and the tips straightened and extended out about 1.5 inches. I need to get the tips cleaned up and then I will get some pictures up.

Anyway, this weekend kicks things off. We are going to swap on the powdercoated cam covers and do new spark plugs while we are in there (NGK TR6 plugs). Here are a couple of pictures of the cam covers as they sit now - yes, they are a bright red:

Then the car goes in next week to have them check the steering "catch" just off center on left turns that is still left over from my accident in early January. While the car is there for that they are going to repaint the passenger fender and passenger side of the rear bumper to fix some big scratches (my fault) and then they are going to paint and install the new Ford spoiler I got from Ray Sr. (TheDealer) and then do the S55 taillight and backup light treatment.

Then I am heading out to Michigan the week of April 15th. Main reason for the trip is to have Lidio and his crew at Alternative Auto install 4.10 gears, rear end girdle, and new tunes for the 4.10's. They will also be installing my new Metco and Addco suspension pieces while I am there. That will be on Monday and Tuesday of that week. Then I will head over to Trilogy on Wednesday morning for a chance to meet Jerry (hopefully) and check out their area. Also hoping to meet up with some of the Motor City Marauder gang and get to look at, listen to, ride in, and maybe drive a couple supercharged Marauders to give me something to look forward to.

Here are some pictures of the parts that I have waiting for install by Lidio and his gang:

Front Addco sway bar:

Then, lastly (for this year anyway), I am stopping to see Jason (Rider90) on my way home from Michigan to have him work some of his detailing magic to detail the engine bay and interior of the Marauder. Then back home to Iowa.

Once I am home I will be doing a complete exterior detail on the car including some buffing of other little scratches and then the full Zaino treatment, again.

Then I just plan on driving her and enjoying her as much as possible this year. Then hope to finally get a daily driver picked up before next winter so the car can go in to storage since this winter was kind of hard on her and she is racking the miles up too fast.

Yeah, I will definitely need you to work your magic on the engine bay to get the rest of it looking good enough or worthy enough of those new cam covers. Can't wait to have them in, but not looking forward to the work and effort it is going to take to do them.

Your picture is what I used at the repair shop that is going to do the paint work. Had to show them what it is supposed to look like done right.

I almost forgot. I had new front and rear KDWS tires mounted on the stock wheels. Those will go back on the car sometime before the Michigan trip and the winter wheels/tires will go back in storage. Just decided to go with the stock tires because I couldn't justify the price jump to go with the KDW2. I plan on either getting a set of widened stock wheels or having mine widened at some point and will run larger Nitto 555's front and rear in the future. That will go with a Naake/QA1 install at some point.

I will be coming through on Wednesday, April 18th. I am plannnig on spending the night that night while Jason works on cleaning the car and on the road on the 19th.

Let me know if you are available for dinner or something on the 18th. I am staying at the Super 8 in Mundelein, Illinois - which is close to Jason's place (north side of Chicago?). I will be heading out on 88 (I think that is the road - that toll road I took home when I came out to pick the car up) so I am guessing I will be heading past Naperville again on my way out of town.

Almost forgot that I am also getting an interior light kit from Marauder Concepts. Will tackle that install at some point when the weather gets nicer adn stays nicer.

I would love to have one of their underbody/valet light kits, too, but that one will have to wait.

That looks good. I will have the stock coil covers on there for now until Daniel (Colex, Inc) gets a new set made for me which should be in another week or so and then get them shipped up. They should be on by my trip to Michigan.

I don't know which part of Chicago you are located in, but I'm sure you could meet Eric and I near Mundelein for lunch before he takes off. Any other Chicago members are welcome, there is a great hot dog/gyro place on the corner.

That's all we've got around here!

Everybody makes a Chicago Style Hot Dog, and the Gyros are always good. :bows:
