I really must be an idiot...I cannot seem to find a fair price on these items...my preference is actually the WeatherShields since they do not "stick-on" the car. They slide into the window channel. Links, guidance, HELP ! ... Please ? :o

Their website has them for $89.95 + shipping for a set of 4. That's about as cheap as you are going to find them. I've had them for 3 years on my MM and they are great.

These are worth the $$$$. I have them on my MM. They have been on 3 other Panther platform vehicles.
The only adhesive is a little thin strip of two-sided tape to keep the rears up in the channel. You can also acces them here: www.mats.com .

Yeah, my brother has them on his Grand Marquis. Definitely worth the dough. He's got the standard vent visors, the stick on kind.

I have had these on SEVERAL cars.
My Marauder has had them since it was 2 weeks old.
There are only a handfull of Vent Visors that slide into the window channel.
Most of the are all stick on now.
The WeatherFlectors are great.
They look neat and look like factory installed.
They are made from heavier plastic and moulded in Germany.
It takes a steady hand to put them into the channel, and you have to
leave the windows up for 2 days so that the channel sets with them in place.
After that, you are golden !!!

Thanks for the information on the WeatherTech's.
Just ordered a set for my car.
Looks way better than the tape style !

Does anyone care to elaborate on the benefits or pros/cons of these items... I've never liked the looks myself so I'm asking why they are so popular... - C

It allows you to have the windows cracked open on a hot summer day, for example - while your car is parked at work.
If a thunderstorm comes along, the inside of your car doesn't get wet.

... and you dont get the waterfall effect in your window, on your door switches, when you turn a corner...

I didn't like the tape style ones because they'd cover up the chrome around the windows.

Here's a few pics of my brothers Grand Marquis with the vent visors on it. Should give a good idea of what they'd look like on a MM....

Those are the "outside" ones. See how they cover the chrome at the top of the door?

Yes, yes...I am going to go with the WeatherTech "in-channel" version...and it will commit me to doing the black-over of the chrome too...no problem there. Now, to search again for a decent price...:D
