I believe its a 300B, but ill ask the experts! (The GT badge on the rear just looks awful! )

Really nice mercury marauder (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=217339497&dealer_id=625972&car_year=2004&search_type=both&num_records=25&keywordsfyc=&make=MERC&transmission=&model=MARAUDER&distance=0&make2=&address=08850&default_sort=priceDESC&advanced=&certified=&max_mileage=&max_price=&sort_type=priceDESC&min_price=&body_code=0&end_year=2008&keywordsrep=&color=&start_year=2003&drive=&engine=&fuel=&doors=&style_flag=1&cardist=65)

Just based on the year 2004 says 300A.

The pictures aren't very clear, but I don't think it matters. If I'm not mistaken, all 2004 models share the same characteristics as the 300B models from the 2003 year.

Blackened300a

I completely ignored the year. Have RoyLpita run the vin, he'll tell you the history of the car.

If it was a 03 it would be a 300B :D

It's over-priced.

03-16-2007, 12:18 PM
Wow thanks for the really fast responses!

Looks like a nice car, my first guess was B because of no clock in dash. Isnt there a T/C switch somewhere?

offroadkarter
03-16-2007, 12:21 PM
Ah its a B! Under model info it says traction control.

Now if i can get the price down 6k and find out exactly where it is, ill have a car 2 years early! :D

my 300B has a remote opening fuel door, clock in the dash, pockets on seat fronts, and a tinted band at the top of windsheild

Did anyone catch this statement?

"Did You Know That A Black Marauder Sell's For An Average Of $2000 More Than Other Colors. However I,ve Kept The Price The Same as Others."

Maybe some non-black owners can chime in on this...

It is a 2004. Therefore it is a 300a. Only 2003 had 300a and 300b.

Shaft333 and Astrovic are correct and yes it is on the high end of price spectrum.

Doesn't appear to have the pockets in the seats either, but maybe I'm blind and can't see them. That price is way high though.

Mine is a 2004 so I officially own a 300a... Actually if they only had one designation in 2004 they should all just be 300's... period.

All 2004s are 300A.... 300A equates to Job 1... The exchange of the fullsize spare for the traction control marked the Job 2... or 300B in 2003. All Canadian 2003s were 300B. To take it a line further... M79 Vins are 2004 300A....

General decontenting of 2003 Panthers as a costsavings measure lost you the front seat pockets, stand alone clock, underhood light, remote fuel door, automatic e brake release and a whole bunch of little thingies not seen or heard of too much... like the change in the windshield tinting.. etc etc.

Are you using the new fuzzy logic:shake:?

2003 300b and 2004 300a have traction control.

Look for the switch to the left of the steering wheel, next to the pedal adjustment.

My former co-worker bought his Certifed 04 with a sunroof, 6 cd changer and rear spolier back in 05 as well with only 14k miles for a little over $25k.

fo course there were the dealers who thought they could 'add' a 'premium' right up until the end

Charlie, they're putting green valve caps on when the tires are purged then filled with Nitrogen. It's the latest dealer :bs: scam, you can't do without.

Now that we're thrashed oil and filters to a faretheewell, we can beat the Nitrogen in the tires theories to death. :shake:

I asked how much it went for and that was the $100,00 question nobody could answer so maybe someone within the dealership put the price up that high to buy some time so they could purchase it themselves.

$23K would be a good price if it had less than 10K miles, $17K at the most for the miles it has, plus Black ones are more plentiful, I've found the Blue, Reds and Silvers sell at a premium.
