why would you return the car for just that?
The heat a/c is electronic and works to keep the temperature at what you set. It will automatically adjust heat and cool temp to do it.
Do you have the owners manual?
I'm not sure what you are describing with the shifting. You may just need to get a custom tune, which can be done from a selection of vendors here.

check vaccuum hoses, I had same problem and found a hose that was blown off. The shifting glitch you notice is the nature of this beast, It shifts like the monster that it is, don't like it? try stomping on the gas a little harder, or take traction control off. You are going to love this car. What is a 96 dcm ss?

96 DCM SS is a 1996 Chevy Impala SS "Dark Cherry Metallic" an the reason why i'd return it is because i can keep looking an maybe stumble on a blue one which i cant seem to find in IL !

There is nothing wrong with your AC/Heat. The air temp coming out of the ducts will continuously change to maintain the set temperature you have selected.
Do you have any history on modifications made to the car? The previous owner may have already altered the shifting on the transmission.
Zack will be able to tell you if something is wrong or not.

Car is stock !! No mods at all ! It seems like it goes into 3rd an 4th to fast , hard to explain but wish i knew someone local with a MM to compare or to tell for sure if its normal or not!:(

The factory shift schedule for the MM does cause the car to get into the higher gears way too soon. I was told is was for CAFE reasons, but in any case, getting a tune from one of the vendors here will fix it.

IMHO: The factory shift points are CRAP! I hate each and everytime I go back those for any reason. Get a tune. It completely changes the nature and driveablilty of the car. I have had good luck with Lidio at Alternative Automotive, but any of the vendors on here that do tunes can hook you up and make you happy.
And like others say, I think what you are experiencing on the AC/Heat issue is normal, if you are in AUTOMATIC mode. I run automatic almost all the time, except I adjust my fan speed instead of letting the system do it.
