My Marauder has a "catch" just off idle, it is hard, and as I increase pressure it eventually gives suddenly, resulting in a harder launch than needed in stop and go traffic. I cant see anything visually, so I was wondering if anybody else has this issue. and knows if there is an easy fix.

This is a weird situation, but I may know the answer.
First of all you're looking at the wrong place. Try sticking your head on the floorboard and with a flashlight look up at the mechanism that adjusts the pedal height from the floor, and cycle it a few times to get a clear idea of how it works; because it's counterintuitive. Now, adjust the cable from the firewall so that it's shorter, which will lower the gas pedal's static distance from the floorboard, and it will clear up the problem. I know you don't believe what I'm saying, but just take a look, and you'll see. ;)

It actually could be the cable. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago and got a new cable installed, fixed it.
