Just wondering if anyone here would be interested in AutoXing here in Houston.
I just put a Torsen T2 in my pretty stock (intake and exhaust mods only) SS and am AMAZED at the handling improvement. I can't wait to AutoX it. I've only done it once before, and am looking forward to trying it again.
I'm planning on attending the June 5th SOLO II at the Gulf Greyhound park.

Must be talking about autocrossing: timed racing on the street or at an airport - or similar venue. I believe SOLO II is SCCA sanctioned.

It's a timed race (one car at a time) through a course laid out with cones in a parking lot. The courses are laid out so you will rarely see over 60 MPH, and most of the time be under 35. They also lay them out so loss of control will not usually result in a colision. The only modification that should be considered REQUIRED, is replacement of spring clamps on radiator hoses with worm gear. I know, my upper hose blew in my 3rd run, my 1st time AutoXing. You also have to have a helmet, but you can usually bum one at the meet.
Anyone who has done it, know's my description does not do it justice. It's racing, and the adrenalin flows the same as any racing...

Oh, and if anyone is interested, you need to sign up online pretty soon. Only a limited amount of non-scca members are allowed.
