I have a Xcal 2 I would like to sell. I have returned my Marauder to the stock tune. Will the buyer have any problems using the tuner on their Marauder?? My ecm code BMDO.

if you returned it to stock, any BMD0 car can use it. Also if they find a tune supplier, they can just add a tune file to it and then flash their car. If you dont return it to stock, and sell it to someone with out the same ECU code, then you have to send the unit back to SCT to get it unlocked for a new code..I had to do that with the Xcal2 i bought or my Mark VIII so i could use it on the MM..

Not cheap. Can't a tuner just unlock it so that we only pay for the new tune?

no. only SCT can reset it if you didnt return the vehicle to stock with the Xcal. its cheaper than having to buy another xcal at $379...

No it has to go back to SCT but ist cheaper to go through a dealer.
