Anyone else notice that the A/C control panel gets very hot. Mine for example, when i put my finger between the center two buttons and display gets so hot it almost burns! The whole panel heats up, if you put the back of your finger onto the controls and display you can feel serious heat.
Just me...again ? :-)
Yes, I noticed the same thing but it also happens in my Expedition so I think it is normal.
This was a big problem with Oldsmobile Intrigues.
It was solved by dimming the interior lights with the headlight switch.

it's not often that i touch the panel - i use the switches mounted on the steering wheel. but thanks for the tip!

I think they all do it. My Dad's truck does, but my MM isn't as bad as that... Like slowpoke said, what are you messin' with those buttons for anyway?!?!

I haven't noticed mine being that hot.
Some cars (not just talking MM here) do get quite hot in the behind-the-dash area. Ford even added a small fan to it's single CD stereo because of this.

If you hit outside temp, and use the wheel buttons to adjust the inside temp, it'll flash the inside temp while adjusting, then go back to the outside temp. ;)
