Well my trans was just rebuilt becouse my filter was layin in the bottom of the trans pan for about two weeks without knowing it. It was poop. Sent my PI 3000 back and got a stall change to a 3500. Did the full j-mod with art car internals and spiral lock and kev band. Anyways, I want to add another trans cooler to try to keep it cool, so I need to know what and where? Also any suggestions on where to put a temp sensor for a temp gauge. I have a tci deep sump pan. Thanks. Jason

Any aftermarket cooler would be fine, just get a really big one that would cool the trans too much. I mounted mine in front of the AC condenser and plumbed it so it's after the factory cooler and before the trans. If you look the MM actually has a big separate trans cooler, not like most cars that use hot radiator water to cool the trans fluid. I'm mounting my trans temp sender in the trans line that goes fro the trans to the cooler. If you search there are almost as many opinions on where to mount the sender as "Carter has liver pills".

ok. sounds good. I take it the bottom line from the trans is the return and also the bottom line on the original cooler is the return? I asume?

I don't remember.... Run the MM for a while and touch the lines, the cooler one would be the return. Remember don't get a cooler that is too big.

dont get one that is to big? Ok, well I was thinking of getting the ford racing one that others have gotten. Think it was like 49.95 plus I am gonna do a trans temp gauge.
As long as it is a STACKED PLATE design.

I got the finned deep art carr pan from Dennis, and nothing else, and mine runs very cool. It is very rare that it gets above 160, and that is only after really jumping on it.
My mechanic installed the sender into the left rear of the pan, and welded a bung into the pan to support it even more, rather than just threading it through the comparatively thinner pan wall.
I got the full tranny rebuild kit, rear engine cooling mod and PI3000 installed all at the same time. I think the 3000 was just about perfect for me, as I use mine as a daily driver. I've watched the shift points and I don't think 500 rpm higher would work as well for me. (?)
Anyway, after the tranny mods you can feel the strength in the tranny, but I'm still not sure I like it yet. I mean I _love_ how it handles at WOT, but I hate the feeling like the car is always in second gear with the OD off. :(
