Install the jet chip back into the packaging and return it.

Then buy an Xcal2 from one of our friendly site vendors.

^^^what they said^^^

If you can, return it. Jet is not a well respected chip vendor for Ford products. You'll be a lot happier with an XCal2 from one of the vendors here.

One of the owners of Superchips Custom Tuning helped develop the programming for the Marauder when he worked for Ford. Very few people know as much about tuning this car...

I agree, install it back into the package. If it must go into your car for anything let it only be for the trip to return it.

Have you heard? Jet chips are junk. This is not the first place I've heard that.

Jet sucks all around

I had one on my Dak V6. I, personally, noticed Zip! I can't even give the thing away!!!

Jet AND Hypertech blow. Send it back and get an Xcal 2 or a Predator. IIRC my friend had a Jet in his 'Stang (before I killed him for buying it) and the car ran worse than it did with no tune.

Don't put it back in the package, that gives the opportunity for someone else getting stuck with it. Install it promptly into the trash.

The scary part is that the original poster apparently thought it was like plugging in a cigarette lighter... Someone with the X cal 2 PM him and explain about how he should study up on some of this stuff before plodding blindly into a magic performance upgrade...maybe leading him thru the archives here where all his questions have been answered historically.. I beg off of this task as I have no Marauder.... only 4 other Panthers....:help:

I had a customer who installed a JET chip and afterwards it was firing on the driver side cylinders only.

Jet chips are not programed properly for our cars we're as one from any of the vendors who know more about our cars than jet does:up:

Looks to me that Alternative Auto, Lidio, does not do mail order? I guess I can understand that. But it rules me out as a potential customer. Maybe that is good for both of us...or better said any custome tune/performance business. That is not a negative...sometimes the smart thing to do is "turn down" business. The company I work for has lots of criteria for the customers we choose to service. Trouble is I have not found anyone in the Denver area that I feel comfortable with. At this point I am judging by the web pages. Both Dennis and Lidio have web pages that I can understand. Others are just spaztic. Real turn off to me. Anyway I will get this Tuning thing figured out eventually...part of the problem is me. I still need to learn a few more things about my MM before I can make a call to a Performance shop.

I'll tell you from my personal experience it's junk as junk can be. I had mine installed and the car thought I was tring to steal it so I needed to buy new keys the next day. After that the car ran slower down the track. It wouldn't go below 15.6 after it was installed. I used to get it to run 15.1 and 15.2 often.... JUNK! It's not an opinion it's a fact.

Uhm... I ordered my Xcal2 from Lidio, and it was mailed to me... Pretty sure there are lots of happy Marauderers who have recieved mail order tunes...
