Does anyone have a picture of their or any Maruder with 35% window tint applied? I am curious how dark it really looks.

I really like the paint protection stuff they added your headlights, is it just a film or an actual spray the put on them?

We should meet up sometiem before you get it done.. I think mine is plenty dark. And yes, i know dark.. I used to have double 5% on my old Ranger.. that was dark. But i could just open the rear sliding window and see just fine..
The film he put on my headlights is 3m clear protectant film. It goes on just like tint, only much thicker material. 9mil IIRC(?) You cant tell its there at all. Keeps it from getting sandblasted on the roads...

I have 28% on mine all the way around. No windshield for me. But It is perfect, not to dark and not to light. I would recomend it to everyone that wants tint.

I'll second going 20%. It's a nice balance between the 35% which is too light and to most, 5% is too dark.
I plan on getting my Marauder done with 5% sometime soon.

Mine's 20%, plenty dark. Also not exactly within our state guidelines. So do what you will, forewarned.:cool4:

I like my 20% very much. My buddy has 15% which seems a bit darker (barley noticable). They both are plenty dark and are doable for night time driving.

Just like someone else posted I'd go with whatever tint your state allows. You don't want to get a ticket for tint being too dark.

Good thread, as I was planning on doing 35% on my car. My brother has 20% on his Grand Marquis, and it's too dark for me (can't see crap at night) and he's gotten pulled over for it. Since his car is black, the 20% looks like 5%. I figured 35% on a black car should still look pretty dark.

maybe i am just getting old, but my rediculously dark tint days are gone. I like my 40%. Like mentioned above, its on a black car so it looks darker than it is. Its plenty dark that people cant see in, I can see out fine even at night. It looks good, its not cop magnet dark, and it still keeps the car cooler in the summer..

I have 32% tint, and I feel it's plenty dark. I know it's a non-standard number, but thats what they had. I used Ziebart.

There is a shop 10 min. away from where I live, and I've always liked the look of their tint. It's got just a tiny bit of a metallic sheen, that matches well with the shine off my MM's black clearcoat, but it's not incredibly noticeable.
Ive seen plenty of tint on MM's, and I'm partial to the look of my own.

I have 20% all around (except the windshield) during the daytime I wish it was 5% but at night I'm glad it's 20%. It really depends on the angle sometimes it looks like it needs more, like in the 2nd pic, other times it looks fine.

Mine has 35% on all all except the windshield. I believe that is the limit in WA State. Attached are a couple shots of my MM on the dealer lot with the 35% tint. Its interesting how it looks lighter at different angles (rear). It was a dealer option farmed out to a local tint shop. I didn't order it but the dealer had already done it that way and I liked it then. Still do...
Here's a link to a state law summary by the IWFA as of 1/22/07. It doesn't look like MN allows darker than 50%. You may want the confirm the 35% would be ok. Good luck!

I think you misread my line. I said that I don't have a problem with the 5%, but to some people, it is too dark.;)
