:help:
Does anybody out there know if a Marauder air box and intake tube will fit 1998 Grand Marquis. I would like to upgrade without using the CAI, I do not think they sound good, kinda reminds me of turning the air cleaner lid upside down like we did in the old days when we were young (er). But I would like to gain a liitle extra power
Any help will be great.

The air box will bolt in. the air tube is designed specifically for the MM and its dual bore throttle body. I believe that you can use your factory air tube.

Expanding a bit on RoyLPita post .....

Physically the airbox will fit, however ...

If you retain the Marauder MAF ( 80mm versus your 70mm ) you will need to re-wire the IAT and get a tune. Also, would recommend getting the 2004 P71 ( cop / police ) zip tube ( part # 4W7Z-9B659-AA ) since it will slide-over the MAF MUST easier that the stock.
If you retain your stock 70mm MAF, you will need to fabricate an adapter to mount it to the airbox ( since there's NOTHING available to do that ). AND ... Since the airbox was designed with the 80mm MAF, other than cosmetics, there would be little>no performance advantage.

thanks guys for the help, It would make sense to use the MM 80mm mass air flow sensor instead of the 70mm, cop zip tube, and get a tune

If you need a stock airbox/tube, PM me. I have mine and would sell it to you if you need it. The only thing you would need would be the MM 80mm MAF.
