Anyone know some good places in the Horseshoe region that can install 3.55s and trac lock for me? Preferably someone who does this type of work all the time so they have all the required parts on hand so I don't have to leave the car there over night. I'd love to attempt this myself but I am afraid of screwing up the spacing. Also, what price range am I looking at to do the install assuming I provide the trac lock unit and the gears?

Serge,

It may be helpful to make friends at a local dealership that you trust. You may pay a little more, but I've found dealerships stand behind they're work. I had my gears installed at Summit Ford, and they treated me well.

Alternatively, I've had good luck with Straightline, located in the Midland/Lawrence area of Eastern Scarborough (although my experience with them was with GM vehicles). All they do is driveline work (trannys and rearends), and have built drivelines for more than a few high powered cars that I know of...

I've been to a couple of dealerships and they all want my car over night. First day they will install everything and check the play then they will order the correct size shims that go in there and the next day they will put those in. I was hoping there was a performance shop in Toronto or area that specializes in Fords and does this work all the time so they would have all the parts on hand.

I had Nick at Nick's Automotive in Oakville install my Ford Racing 4.10 gears. They specialise in Mustangs, so the Panther is no problem.

Might be too far for your taste but Joron, on Papineau street in Montreal is a small shop doing only rear end work. They have the Montreal Police fleet contract and don't fall on their back when they see a Panther.

They are top notch and will do yours car in 2 - 3 hours at the most. You can then go spend all the saved time downtown at Paré, 10$ a dance ...:)

I had my 3.73's for my stang put on by Marshalls Automotive. He's a great guy and has done lot's of gear changes in his life time. He takes great pride in his work. Located in St.Catharines, tell him Tony sent you.

I will have to check these out when I am ready to commit in about a month when I get all the parts together and it's a little warmer out.
