Alright I just got this Mustang magizine because theres a car with our 4.6 with a twin turbo with over 800 rwph. Now I haven't read the article yet because I just got home but it said cheap hp and this all bolts on a stock engine. Alright this really goes past the line with me. I know a few on here blew their engines with 600 hp not 600rwhp. Now because it's a turbo it's going to less damage or do these car magizines really think the public will fall for this? :shake:
Lots of Mustangs out there with over 600 rwhp. You would be surprised. But the motors are built.
BTW of all the stock kits available to our cars , a turbo kit is the cheapest hp to dollar.
But don't order one, PTK is going down the tubes. I have been trying to get in touch with them for months on issues I have.

I could show you a dozen members on SVTP that have converted with the Eaton/KB/Whipple setups to a large single turbo, or an insane TT setup. But like juno stated, they have a few surprises inside the block they don't mention. For example, dl this vid and check out this Cobra. Right click save as please. http://www.n2s1.net/RacingVideos/78mphgr_turbo_03cobra213.avi That's a TT setup with a built block. It's going a bit slower than usual. Worth the wait though.

What kind of mustang was it? There are many out there, some can handle significant power, others can't.

The "Cobra" version 'Stangs can usually handle more power a bit better on a stock block opposed to a GT.

Ya it's in that one. The Mustang was that limited one in 2003 I think with the factory Supercharger. The blower was removed for the twin turbos.

That was the 03/04 cobra, just because the displacement is the same does not mean it's the same motor. Remember we don't have a cobra motor we have a Mach-1 auto motor. The 03/04 Cobra came pretty much with built motor so yes it can handle that amount of power easily. It's only the 03/04 cobras too.

think of it this way Dom...
It came with a Supercharger and nearly 400hp from the factory...
do u really think the motor is built the same internally...?

haha ya I was thinking something seemed unusual about that. I really didn't know about that engine until you guys told me. So when I blow my next engine I'll look around the junkyards for one of those. ;)
