As shown in an email from S olid W orks for beta testing of v2008.
I do not know anything else about it. Just thought it was an interesting idea. Sort of a cross between a turbo and a blower in how it would operate.

It's an axial flow supercharger.
These have an 85% efficiency - much higher than the common supercharger offerings (including positive displacement roots and twin screw, as well as centrifugals)
Jet turbine engines use axial flow compressors. They compress air in multiple stages, subjecting the airflow to less turbulence through them.
