:mad2: I do not have any enemies I am aware of, was just malicious. Nice deep scratches all the way to the metal on the drivers side door below the keypad; makes me sick. Happened in my driveway over night. Anyone else have this happen? Guess people just get jealous because they do not have one.

A friend of mine reported a bad act of vandalism that he witnessed.

It was a juvy and he showed enough interest to discuss it w/ the juvy mother before he reported it.

Well a week later someone poured paint remover all over his new Mercedes.

Can't imagine who did it.

One nite I parked in the middle of a large remote lot for a club and so did another car. Although we were not in lanes we were not blocking anyone. Someone keyed my car.

My wife pulled up to a stop sign and 3 juvy's approached. One had a stick and scratched the entire front fender.

Both of these incidents were in the late 80's and early 90's when keying was popular.

It makes me mad to hear about it, so I can only imagine how mad you are. Damn punks. It isn't much comfort to know, but it is a good thing for you that you didn't catch them. Not worth going to jail or prison over.

If I ever caught someone doing that, I'm sure I would end up in the grey-bar hotel.

Besides a police report, you might want to check with any friendly neighbor teens. The perp is probably well known, and not liked by the nice kids.

Nope - my baby sleeps in the garage right by the master suite. If you're in my garage playing with my Marauder at night - you're a dead man.

If i find him i'll hold him down so you can take a key to his face...

I just don't understand why anyone would do it.

What a cowardly, lowlife thing for someone to do. I hope you find out who did it and make them pay.

About 15 years ago when I lived in Buford, GA (Atlanta suburb) I had a beautiful 100% restored 1971 Olds Cutlass Supreme convertible, fire engine red with white top and interior. I kept it parked in the carport with a cover over it.

Across the street lived a white trash family with 3 teenage hooligan sons. I caught them shooting at my next-door neighbor's dog with a pellet rifle, and called the cops on them. A couple of weeks later I pulled the cover off of the Cutlass to take my wife for a Sunday drive.

Somebody had keyed down both sides of the car from stem to stern. I called the cops and they questioned the little twerps across the street, who eventually confessed and were charged with malicious mischief or some such. I sued the parents in small claims court and they had to pay to repaint the car.

Wife and I sold the house and moved shortly thereafter.

It was an adult that keyed your car though wasn't it BJ?

There is a guy across the street that is off his rocker. He came over a couple weeks ago while I was upgrading my sound system. He kept saying what a nice shade of red my car was even after I was told him it was black. Then he fell face first passed out in my bushes. He has done some mean things to other neighbors.

Thanks to the Texas Lawmakers I CAN now take care of business myself should the person try to further the damage or break into it. Of course if it is a kid, I will let his parents handle it :).

Oh well, I have cooled down.....now on to the body shop!

It seems the "guy across the street that is off his rocker" is the primary suspect.

That reminds me of an experience I had a few years ago. I was re-loading my motorcycle from a motel room, and returned to the room find a 6'3" black man looking at himself in our bathroom mirror. He was mentally in another world, and wouldn't respond to my attemped (nervous) conversation. I checked the room, and nothing seemed disturbed, but I didn't want to let him out of my sight account I wanted the police to question him.

Well, after 10 minutes or so, I finally got the attention of 2 other riders from our group, that had a room across the hall, and called the front desk to report a tresspasser in our room. We waited and waited for the police to show up, while my room-mate (who finally showed up) tried to talk to the guy (who was pretty much "out of it").

After a half hour, I called the desk back, and asked "where the Hell is your security and the police?"

The jerks response: "Oh, we thought you meant there was a trespasser in your room, and he is gone now." I then realized I should have phoned 911 in the first place.

It turned out, he was part of a 3-man construction crew that was staying at the motel, and his brother/co-worker got him the job so he could keep an eye on him. He was a genuine and harmless mental case,. They were so thankful we didn't over react with him, and I was too. but my adrenalin and blood pressure must have been sky-high that morning. At least my better judgement prevailed.

The motel "security" (a janitor  ) did show up before the police.

What part of FTW? The Service King on 183 in Irving did a great job on fixing keyed T/A a few years back.

Yep, that's ^^^^^ where I would put my money. Maybe he was trying to find that red paint under the black.

Don't know what I would do if someone screwed with my MM while sitting in the driveway. :mad2: ..... or anywhere else for that matter.

Every once in a while, I see an incident in our local papers about multi-vandalism when 15-20 cars get their tires punctured or 10-12 cars have their windows busted out. I suspect it is just some low-life kids that are allowed to roam the streets in the wee hours when most folks are sleeping. This area is middle to upper middle class and you'd be surprised what some of these affluent little punks do for "entertainment". Seems like a lot of rods have been spared in many of these cases .......

I'm sorry to hear that! Mean people suck! Make sure the car does not sit outside with bare metal exposed or the repainting that is going to have to be done to repair the damage is going to get much more complicated due to rust forming.

I had a tire cut on my Marauder in my apt. parking lot. I also had someone hawk a huge loogey right on my freshly washed hood. Although I was made about the loogey, I was at least grateful that they chose to do a harmless act. If that's the worst someone does to my car I'm not doing too bad. The tire cut I laughed off later on, because whatever kid did it, probably used a dull pocket knife. They failed to penetrate the tire and make it flat, they just left a bunch of shallow cut marks in the side wall. At least the car was still driveable.

Some dumb ****s probably think it's a police car (I have dark tint and a PI badge the previous owner put on the trunk lid) and are "sticking it to the man". Unfortunately the man is me.
