Greetings All, I've had my Marauder for just about a month now. I was searching around the 'net for information and happened across this forum a few days ago. Lots of good information here. Anyway, I'm from Monroeville, Pennsylvania which is near Pittsburgh and just wanted to say hi. So far 1,206 miles on her and it keeps getting better!

Thanks for all the replies! Just for the record, mine is a 300A, still all stock with everything except a moon roof. Born on date of 08/2002 and I got it 05/24/2003. Originally I was out looking for something fun and interesting, I was kicking around the idea of an SS impala. I had no idea the Marauder existed until I visited my local LM dealer. They had 4 of them, two 300A's and two 300B's. I test drove one, got all the literature and such, and went on shopping around for awhile. However, I just couldn't get the Marauder out of my head. Went back about 4 more times, and test drove it more. It really just clicked with me, so after a good bit of kicking it around, I took it home. One thing I was surprised about was the lack of knowledge about the car from the dealer. That pretty much only knew what was in the brochure. I hope things change for 2004, it should have alot better marketing behind it, its just too cool not to! :D

Welcome aboard. I'm from Pittsburgh myself. I spent the 1st 11 years there. I used to go to the Monroeville Mall all the time. I wouldn't mind going to Kennywood again.

Congratulations!
Sounds like you bought it from Biondi LM. I only live 30min to the east down 22.
In the year I have been paying attention I have only seen 1 other Marauder in our area.
Enjoy the attention.

Thanks again all! Haven't gotten anything on the jacket yet, but am looking forward to it.
Heavy351-I originally looked at the MM at biondi here in monroeville, but I work in the south hills area (Whitehall Boro). So I wound up getting it from Benson LM. They gave me a better deal on it in the end. I've yet to see another one on the road here. I've only been watching since I got mine, so I may have missed some in between. :)

Welcome BZ,
Just wondering why you took the 300A over the 300B? $$$$?
or the difference in standard equipment?

I liked the full-size spare, electronic fuel door release, and such. One thing I'm not too clear on is that my window sticker says mine has traction control, however I was under the impression that is was not on the 300A? I have everything else on mine, the 6 cd changer, the trunk organizer. I was told the only option I don't have is the moonroof, which I don't really have a need for. My dealer was excellent in dealing with, but was rather sparse on information about the vehicle. I also got a 5-year warranty, 3-year free oil change, teflon paint treatment, and a car-cover that matches the interior. I did some research about the Marauder before finally buying it, and found a variety of info online, which I was happy about considering the lack of info in my local area. I've got alot of reading\learning to do on this vehicle!

Very odd if your 300A window sticker says "Traction Control"
Are you sure it doesn't say "Trac-loc" which is what Ford calls it's "limited slip" differential

BZ, Sounds like you got a great deal!!!
You could have a 300A with early TRACTION CONTROL.
Do you have a button on the dash (traction control)
next to the button for the electric mirror/rear window
defrost?...will be left of the steering wheel.
I would have liked a 300A but every one I looked at
was beat up (faded) from sitting in the Fla. sun for over
a year! In fact all of their "window stickers"
were destroyed by having their windows opened
and closed so many times during the year from test
drives. They were too ragged to take home even
at $25,995 plus tax, title and tags.

There were no 300As with traction control, although the large Marauder brochure, printed in April or May 2002, shows a traction control switch on the dash.
BTW, it would be beside the adjustable pedal switch, not the rear defrost switch. Rear Defrost switch is to the right of the steering column, beside the Heater/AC control.

Not to be contrary, I wouldn't put it past the assemble line to have the last one or two 300A WITH Traction Control. Remember the tail light, and the chrome bezel?

Ok, that was my mistake, I mis-interpreted trac-loc as meaning "traction control". And I don't have the button described near my pedal adjustment button. Still happy though! :)
