As if getting up at 3:30am this morning for work wasnt bad enough, I decided to install my front and rear addco sway bars as well as my HID kit right after work.
My lift was in use so this was a old fashioned jack + 2 jackstand,on a cold concrete floor operation.
The front bar was rather easy to install, Which Im glad I decided to do the install because my sway bar bushing on the passenger side was broke :(. The rubber boot was gone and it pulled through the housing. This may have been why I had a slight vibration in the steering wheel.
My local auto parts store had them in stock for $17 a piece. Once replaced, it was a straight forward installation. The rear sway bar was a bit more time consuming due to the end links being rusted.
Once I got past that hurdle it was also a rather straight forward installation which took 2 hours to install both, including the parts run.
The HID installation was a bit more time consuming due to the fact that I had to modify the housing a little bit to fit the plugs through and still keep it water tight, and figure out the best place to mount the ballasts.
This kit I purchased also has a seperate high beam bulb built in. It was just a matter of tracing wires that now allows me to have high beams and flash to pass like normal.
After taking over a hour to do this install, I had a friend stop by my shop and I installed his running boards onto his 07 toyota pick-up.
Quite a busy day but went smoothly even though I was tired most of the day.
After all my hard work was the test drive and the sway bars make a WORLD of difference, I can take turns much faster and more confident then before and the car just feels so much more solid, However the ride is harsh, Im now feeling bumps a lot more but its worth the trade off for handling.
