wheels Mustang vs MGM

Dear Dennis,

Could you tell me wether the Mustang 06-07 stock wheels (17x8, 5x114.5, offset 45 ?) fit straight on the Grand Marquis LSE 2003 ?

I have a possibility to buy such Mustang wheels. They are sold with Pirelli 235x55x17... I hesitate because of the offset. I am not sure about the offset range on my MGM...

What do you think ?

they should work just fine,i put a set on a 03 vic and they fit perfect

I put Cobra R's on Kieths car for awhile, so they will work the offset is different and they do stick out a tad

The offset of the Cobra wheels is - I guess - +20 on the front and +25 on the rear. The offset on the regular Mustang wheels is +45, much closer to the +40 of the MGM wheels.
That might explain why the Cobra wheels were sticking out. I assume "Superford" put the regular wheels on the CV and I believe these ones were not sticking out...

Just to tell you that the 17x8 wheels from the 06-07 Stang (5 split spoke) are a perfect fit for the MGM. They do not stick out and they look superb on the GM. Further they are quite cheap : many dealers are selling them new as the Stang buyers are willing to drive their new toy out of the showroom with custom wheels. I got the whole set (4 wheels with Pirelli PZero Nero 235x55) for 950 $ (shipping and import costs incl.) while my local dealer was quoting 2,400 $ !

For the "Panther" die hard who also own a CV or a MGM, I included in the member's galleries (QUOTA is my member's name) some pictures of my MGM equipped with the wheels and tires taken from the new Stang. Those 17x8 wheels with 235x55 tires - Pirelli P Zero Nero - fit quite well.

Most interesting was the "deal" : complete sets are for sale on ebay for less than 700 $. Probably lots of new Stang buyers are hitting the road with custom wheels, leaving their OEM sets in the showroom.

Nice ? Not nice...your opinion is welcome. Thing is that it looks much nicer on 3D than on pictures.
