I have a pre-decontented 300B and it came with the Vulcan cloaking device. I am, therefore, impervious to their mortal tools and techniques.

I got to go take my medication now....

26500, no tickets, couple free passes (sped by LEO, didn't bother me.) Of course I also "bribe" local P.D. I vocalize my support for their causes in newspaper, at town hall, and on local radio talk show. These guys, and gal, are always there when I need them, so it's not really a bribe.

6600 km ~2500 miles - no tickets yet. And I go through radar traps daily.

240,000 km ~160,000 miles on my Crown Vic, no tickets ethier. They just wave when I go speeding through a radar trap. My GF hates that, because she gets a ticket if she doesn't signal...

As sort of an related post: The RCMP here are getting sneaky! They pick busy intersections, set up the cones to redirect traffic, and 'stage' an accident. They get a tow truck, and an old car that has been used for fireschool training. Flip the car over in the middle of the road with the tow truck nearby, and redirect traffic into ....a seat belt check! What a great idea!

This morning had a Police Car eyeballing me bigtime. Came up beside me then dropped back and came up from behind for a few miles. It was rush hour so no problem with staying under the limit. Would like to know where all these free passes are coming from ? Has anyone here put one of those sticker badges on the back showing a donation to the Police fund ?

7300 and no tickets. MANY free passes, no more FOP stickers either...well...one REALLY small one.

No tickets in 4 years.

Prior: 3 in 6 months (speed), 11 of a mximum 12 points on license....court appearance....$360 fine....a big chew out....and that was that. Oh, did I mention I drove a truck in the Buckeye?

No tickets since I quit driving the truck...and grew up a little....a little!

After reading the replies I'm begining to feel that I was just unlucky'
my one saving grace since I hadn't received a ticket in over 5 years was that it was an unmarked black Crown Vic .
Don't you hate it when they don't play fair!!

I believe it. At a certain intersection in burnaby BC, over the last few years there has been an advent of "window washer kids" (this never used to happen)
The RCMP have taken to "disguise" as window washer kids, in a "stealth" seat belt check. (I wonder what they do with the window washing money they collect?)

CCRRUUDD!!

1815 and then I got a ticket. Happened about 20 minutes ago...a whopping 45 in a 30....guy was hiding in the bushes...as soon as I saw him turn on the head lights I pulled over....

Now I will elect to go to school....so no points....it has been about 10 years since I got a ticket...the last time was about 1,000 miles into my Ford Tbird with a 5.0 in it.

I have had 4 pull overs and got passes each time over the last 10....but this was an older guy and did not even ask what I was pulled over for...just wanted to write the ticket....I guess I was due....

Now I need to pick up a Radar detector.......any suggestions?

Speeding ticket....not 140 in a 70 ....nnnnooooooo.... I gotta get 45 in a 30........ :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

Marauder 57 , I feel your pain . It doesn't take much effort to sit next to a 30 mph sign and find someone speeding . Everyone and their grandmother go over these limits,Sometime you just want to say, "OFFICER I'M VERY SORRY BUT MY VEHICLE IDLES AT 55MPH"

5600 miles and no tickets yet. Although the Valentine One saved my tail on the interstate last week twice within a ten mile stretch of road. I try not to take more than they are willing to give usually.

Yeah it was kind of frustrating....I could tell when he got out this was gonna be a ticket....and if I go to court to gamble that he doesn't show...I think I would lose that......

I have gotten my fair share of "skate byes" so I guess I will take this one...

I think I might look into those Improv Comedy traffic classes they have around here.....might liven up the thing.....

I mean what are you gonna do....let the sheep vote???

Marauder57 - Plead not guilty. Take your chances in court. The guilty plea will also effect yor insurance premium. In NY you would be penalized for at least three years or more.

Only had it three weeks (2500 miles so far) and been having a ball driving the speed limit on cruise.......

I get some real big lines behind me on the interstate...

With the windows tinted some folks suspiciously think I resemble an FHP unmarked unit........ LOL

So yesterday on the way in to work (5:30 am) I see a set of headlites coming up sorta fast in the left lane (I'm in the middle) and slows right down behind rear door....

I figure it's another person suspecting I am other than the mild mannered type just going to work - not bothering a soul - and obeying the speed limit......

Turns out it is a local marked LEO!!!!

I don't know if he thought I would ticket him or what, - it was a giggle and a half.....

So I get a wave and he slowly pulls by me by a couple mph!!! (and he can't see in my car - trust me!!!)

I get waved at all the time my deputies going the other way... So I guess we must look the part anyway!!! This is a hoot!!!

On the other hand - I have found out that if you drive fast enough, they can't see you!!!

You don't think my windows are too dark do you???

See page 7 of my website.........LOL

I have gone to court on 4 tickets....and all the times but one the cop did not show....the one time he did I asked if he had calibrated the machinery and did he have the slips....

Game over....but those were mostly FHP and those guys never show up to court unless you were cuffed and stuffed.....

But around here the local cops get paid overtime while they are in court....so they don't mint showing up and messing up your day....

I have not had a ticket since 1972. It is not because I am not trying, but the only place I may go over the limit is on the highway. I have 1200 on my baby and by 7 August I will have about 3900 miles.

3,200 miles on the clock and no tickets and I live in a big time cop town, but I have to watch it, getting a ticket with a commercial license really hurts.

15 years plus w/o any type of ticket and over 20 w/o any kind of accident, and I get one today for 42 in a 30. I could barely believe it, on top of that it was with laser. This road runs at least 40, he must have had a 2 book wad written today. I just KNOW I wasnt going over 40, but what can you do? He didn't even bother to ask the obligitory "do you know why I stopped you?", or even to tell me before he handed me the ticket. I know it's not required, but it would not have killed him or cost him anything to be polite for the love of pete.
This is just one of those 'revenue roads' in the area. I normally would never be on it, but the wife needed me to take her to a store on it. Never again....some roads are just money-lanes for these local 'burgs.

12,500 and counting, no dectector and no tickets.

Some tips:

Don't blast down the left lane by yourself. Mix in with traffic, or slow down.

Look for brake lights. The first thing people do when they see a cop is brake - looking ahead for brake lights where people have no reason to brake is better than a radar detector.

Beware holidays. Especially summer ones.

Don't speed in residential areas.

When you get pulled over, have your paperwork ready and give it to him before he opens his mouth.

Now I'll get nailed on the way to work Monday...

Got my first one on Sunday (in the Marauder that is). 6,912 miles on car. Got clocked doing 83 in a 65 on I-68W in Grantsville. Good thing he clocked me when I slowed down for traffic. A few minutes before I was doing about 115mph :D
