MOST stock Marauders ran 15.2s -> 15.6s in the 1/4 mile.
Some ran high 14s stock. A very few ran mid 14s stock.

Many V6 ricer sedans and lots of other cars run low 15s....

If you are bone stock, choose your opponent CAREFULLY!

I would get a set of gears and a tune and then enjoy your (almost stock) Marauder.

watch out for the ever popular dodge/chrysler, 300s, magnum, charger. I thought about racing one on the street but didnt and know that i know what my car is capable of right now, i'll wait till i did more mods.

We can eat V-6 Models, R/T's are a crap shoot, Dont even think about taking on a SRT-8.

Lots to learn grasshopper, but you are surrounded by good Marauderers.
Join the Carolina club, go to their getogethers, and you will learn much...

Don't try anything unless its against a Yugo. By all means stay away from Dodge unless you like looking at tail lights. Stock MM's have no power at low end. You won't beat anything off the line. Get a chip and gears first, then you have something that can at least compete .

Take your racing to the track. Please don't street race.

If you are stock, Anything Japanese with a V-6 will be a challenge.

If your racing at the track in competition it dosn't matter whats in the other lane because you will most most likely be running a bracket race format. I have been racing my MM scence I got it in Dec 03 and have beat every thing from station wagons to 8 second rails.I make 160-180 passes a year and the first year it was completly stock and I finished in the Top Five in the CDRA No Electronics Standings. So just go racing its a blast. Bye the way I be up in Asbury ,Mo. this weekend running No E and Sportsman at The CDRA North Divison season opener if anybody in that area wants to enjoys some drag racing.

I really enjoyed racing against other marauders at MVIV. Go to the drag strip at least once in your life. You can't win every race. I have eight or so slips and the only race I clearly won was when I was on the track by myself. ;)
