I just noticed the green lights on my heated seat buttons seem to be going on and off. The heater still works and when I put turn on the heat the gold lights seem to be OK.

Anyone got any ideas what could cause this?

Probably switch backlighting going bad, I don't think bulbs are servicable.

Yep, I have had the flickering backlights on the heated seat buttons (driver's side only) for a about a year. Just an annoyance to me and I haven't taken it in for a fix.

There's a couple of threads here on the problem. I believe it is a short in the switch to the backlighting only. Seach on "flickering" + "heated" :D

Bring it in and have theh dealer replace it under warranty if applicable. Mine did it too.

Same here, my passenger side still does it and only half of the driver's side will light up and stay on. As long as they still work I'm not worried about fixing the lights.

This just started happening to me a couple days ago. Not a functional issue of course, but very annoying as a flickering thing in my peripheral vision makes me want to look over there!

Mine's not under warranty--has anyone tried to replace it themselves? How hard is it to get the inner door panel off? Had to pull the panel on my last car (Lincoln Mark VIII) to replace a door handle and it was a gigantic pain in the a$$!

Wonderful, thanks! An illustrated guide is exactly what I was looking for, and it does look relatively simple. Now if only I can get the black plastic triangle out in one piece...(broke both clips on that in my VIII, though curiously it stayed in place without them once it all went back together...)

Of course this now has me thinking I should replace the speakers while I'm inside the door. Damned snowball effect...:D

You can add me to the list of having this small problem, took it in and had then repair that along with having them check my slow window (seems to be getting slow again).
