I just got my godshead badges from car motorsports today. I realized the front mercury emblem is bigger than the godshead emblems. will it look right with the new emblem? anybody got any real good pics of the front and rear emblems? ive seen a few on here but they were to close to see how it actually looks overall.

ok i saw the pictures of the grill one, now how about the trunk emblem. Is it supposed to be flat?

A couple pics of the rear badge:

Mine originally came curved such that the eyes would have pointed down a bit if installed as-is. I straightened it out by wrapping it in a towel and whacking it a couple times with a rubber mallet, and then re-curved it so the eyes faced straight. Not a big deal, you can reform it as you wish.

It's supposed to be curved to fit the couture of the trunk lid.

Another point on the rear badge...

Once you get the original badge off with fishing line and clean up the adhesive residue with Goo-Gone (or whatever method does it for you), you'll notice two 1/4" holes where the old badge aligned to. I placed my badge as high on the trunk as I could and still able to cover the holes with the backing tape. I thought the new badge looked a little more balanced a bit higher than the original. Just my $0.02.

They used to put a curve in it but there was a lot of discussion over what the proper rotation angle was, so I'm not surprised if they send them out flat now. The rubber mallet trick works great. The badge is thick enough where it takes some persuading to put a curve in it and it doesn't need much.

^^^what HwyCruiser said^^^ All of it.

My rear badge was one of the first set produced and when aligned to fit the curvature of the desk lid did point down a bit. I discussed it with Rich at CAR Motorsports and he sent me another one that was a lot better. It's been on for 2 winters now and still looks new. It's a great product and these guys have great customer service.

Mine came curved last month. Looks great. There's pics in my gallery, check it out. I moved mine slightly lower to look good away from the deck spoiler.
