Mine is rolled also. I have an 2003 A. Not sure if later 03's & 04's have this.

all were rolled, the first few by hand, to accomodate tires.

All the CVs and GMs are as well from 2003 model on. It was done for the changes required for the Marauder.
The front fender lip is also slightly rolled compared to previous years.

Actually the fender lips were rolled under to give clearance for the new for 2003 front and rear suspension. So I guess you could call these cars "WIDE TRACK" on CV, GM, and MM.

Except it was only needed for the Marauder. Helps them all though for fitting wider tires

Why would they change entire vehicle production on two models for a low production car.
I would also think the decision to stop the Marauder did not happen on a moments notice, but who knows.

Economics. Its cheaper to reset the machine to roll all of them than to hand roll 11,000 of them. Of course when they reset the machine I'm sure they were hoping to sell many thousands more MM's.

I suppose sometimes it is less expensive to produce all the same, rather than sideline some production items for a special procedure.
I'm sure the decision to stop the Marauder was planned.
Some of it had to do with the change over of the rest of the line to drive by wire. The Marauder having a different engine would have required additional engineering.
edited to say yes, see post above as well :)

If you look at any 2003+ CV/GM, the wheels sit further out than previous years. The new suspension is significantly wider on 2003+ so higher offset wheels and rolled lips where the answer.

Yes, except it wasn't necessary for the wheels and tires used on the CV/GMs.
It was done because of the Marauder, and all bodies received the treatment for reason of economy as stated above.

Lets see
I've studied the Marauder since before it came out.
I've listened to and talked with Steve Babcock
I own a 2003 Marauder
I own a 2003 CVPI
I've looked at countless of each
Do I need more to have an idea of what I'm taking about?
