Ford released a die cast Marauder?

Heck, if no one buys that I got dibs, and will offer good $ for it.

I saw this one on eBay. I didn't know the owner wasn't a member on here.

IMO, the "KLEEN WHEELS" wheel protectors look like crap.

Since I have gotten so many replies about the Die Cast, I picked it up last year...the guy didn't know what he had. Very, very limited production and very rare, originally sold by Ford Motor Company and manufactured by Motor Max. Has been out of production for four years with no plans to re-produce according to Motor Max. I have turned down $250.00 so far, but as they say...everything is for sale for a price!

Some people like them, some do not. They look good "in person" but can be removed in minutes.

Very interesting about the die cast, especially since all the searching that has gone on here since 2002.

No one ever found this, and our resident die cast expert/dealer/ manufacturer contact never knew about it!

I e-mailed Motor Max and received this response.

That was actually a Crown Vic in all black, so it looked like a Marauder.

You can find that at www.policecarmodels.com (http://www.policecarmodels.com/)

I can't reduce the resolution enough from the digital picture to post it here. If you send me your e-mail address, I can e-mail another picture directly. Just make sure it is an account that can receive digital photo attachments.

Maurice is incorrect, the box, car, etc. is marked Mercury Marauder. I was told the same thing but the car even has the Mercury emblems on it. I never saw a Crown Vic with Marauder wheels on it either! I had the same e-mail conversation with Motor Max, I can send you another picture with a direct e-mail address. I guarentee this is a Mercury Marauder die cast in the box!
Motor Max does NOT sell a black Crown Vic which looks like a Marauder, including the Mercury emblems on the grill and trunk lid!

Send me a valid e-mail adress and I will send pictures. BTW, the scale is actually 1:18 scale, not 1:24 as I first thought.
