OK, got my FRPP tranny cooler the other day and need to get it installed. Any suggestions on this.
For those of you that have done a tranny cooler install of some kind, I have the following:
1) Did you install before or after the factory cooler?
2) Where did you mount the cooler?
3) If you did a temp gauge, where did you install that - before or after both tranny coolers?
Also, any and all pictures of installs would be appreciated.
Thanks,

My $0.02:
1. Most aftermarket cooler marufacturers recommend plumbing it after the factory cooler.
2. Can't help you there...
3. Installing the gauge in the line feeding TO the factory cooler will give you the hottest readings and is more representative of the actual fluid temp.

You're input on #1 and #3 pretty much matches what I have gotten from others so far. Thanks for the input.

Thanks, #1- I installed it after the Factory one. #2- I installed it behind the drivers side fog light. Their is alot of room their and some air flow. #3 I didn't think I needed a temp gauge so I didn't install one. I hope this help you in some way.

Get an Aeroforce OBDII gauge for the same $ as a temp gauge and monitor trans temp and 25 other things as well.

Not that i dont want a Aeroforce gauge, those are pretty damn cool, but i sure did not pay $239 for my temp gauge..
FWIW i put the temp gauge in a gauge pod on the pillar.

I agree, the Aeroforce is definitely not the same price as the Auto Meter tranny temp gauge. $70 for the gauge and all hardware to install. It will be going in front of the shifter where the cigarette lighter is.
A-Pillar is reserved for boost and fuel pressure gauges for the day that I go supercharged.

thats what i said too.. but sadly, boostless.
either way, it can still move the gauge if i have to later.or buy a 2 gauge pillar pod.
