Heading to the track in about 2 weeks. I am pickup up a set of new BFG DR's. Wanna make sure I get the best I can with them.

So, should I heat them up? Run them cold?

Let me know what you think...

Heat them up for maximum traction. The use a sticky soft compound much like a regular drag tire just they use radial construction vs. bias ply so they won't flex as much but the compound still works best hot.

Dont burn em up in the box to much. Just pull into the box and stop then dont hold the brake and stomp on it until they start to hook. That should be all you need to do. As for that is what I do. I guess everyone has there own ways, but this isnt as hard on the tires though.

I take it you're not running them all the time, correct? You have them on seperate wheels, and you chage at the track, right?

Smoke em.

Correct. I will be swapping these at the track. These WILL NEVER see the street.

It's all about traction, if you are S/C w/ a stall and gears you will need a good burnout.

I beleive Zack uses these, pm him.
