AC on, higher trans temps?

Is this the case for anyone else?
When you have the AC on , your tranny temps rise? Mine gets to about 170* with the AC on.. It normally hangs around 125*-150* tops

Thats normal. Your A/C condensor is near the trans cooler. The extra heat from the A/C will raise the trans temp.

OK. this is my first summer with the trans gauge. Didnt know if that was going to be normal or not. Not to mention the extra drag on the motor/trans from the AC clutch..
