Just curious as to what motor oil some of you are using. I have been using Mobile1 5w20 for a while now and just changed to Royal Purple..Not sure if it will make a difference. Some say it will others say it wont.

Im curious as to which motor oil is used by the majority of MM'ers out there

1. Mobile1 5W20
2. Royal Purple 5W20
3. Lucas 5W20
4. Amsoil
5. Motorcraft 5W20

I voted Royal Purple. Not that I use it, but I do think it's the best.

Ok you Win! I've been reading some independant Lab results lately on the internet . One lab tested Mobile 1 against Amsoil. On all the tests Amsoil came out on the top. I've put in Royal Purple in the past and I didn't like it for some reason. I've used Amsoil in the past and I liked it but it was harder to get than Mobile 1 so I stuck with Mobile 1. Being the poll is about which one we feel is best I have to go with Amsoil. Now the Guys in Murrys Speed Shops in Florida said that Red Line is all they use in their race cars. Good post & Poll Rob. Lets see what everyone thinks.

I've never herd of Red Line oil. Who makes it and is it available all across the
country?

My race 4x4 truck, a '76 "Blown" Bronco, has seen a noticeable improvement with the use of Royal Purple (motor/trans/axles). Hence, I use it in all my cars.

Switched to Mobil One at 28,000 with the install of the Trilogy. 5W-20

Always used Mobil One in wifes A8 since first change at 5,000
