Spoke to Dennis today. I'll need new plugs for my new engine. I was running the Densos with the 180 thermostat. Dennis said he doesn't use Densos anymore and prefers a copper plug. He told me to use a Ford Lightning plug...but I don't remember the model number and couldn't write it down while I was driving and talking to him.
Until I'm able to talk to him again tomorrow, does anyone know what model of Ford Lightning plug he was referring to. Does "ADWS1200" ring a bell?

What happened to selling you MM with the blown engine? Was the knocking and tapping a spark plug issue?

If someone wants to buy it tomorrow, they can have it. But otherwise, I need to get back on the road. I'll put it up for sale with a brand new engine in it soon enough. Don't think it was a spark plug issue, but I will need new plugs regardless, and since I'm keeping the colder stat and the my tune, I need colder plugs....got all that?:(

It was probably a AWSF-22C, or AGSF-22C but I can't be sure. Stock heat range is 32 so 22 is one heat colder and 12 is two ranges colder. Sorry, not much help.

Motorcraft Website suggests the following...
2003 - SP433 - .54 gap
2004 - SP433 - .54 gap
...and these are Iridium.

SP-505 can be found at your Ford dealer and anywhere that sells Motorcraft spark plugs. I can't explain why the Motorcraft website is behind.

Looks like it's back down into the city for Motorcraft parts. None of the auto parts stores around here carry them, and the dealer is closed by the time i get off from work.
Thanks for the info.

Only problem with that is, for the Motorcraft plugs anyway, the part numbers have changed.
I don't know why they do that! :(

Got my plugs, but the dealer had to go back and look them up by the old #. Neither FLM or Ford dealer across the street had any in stock, so had to make another trip when they came later that day.
