1) Which year is better
'03 300A's had a few nice standard features the were dropped on the '03 300B's and '04 models.
2) How much am i expected to pay for a car with less than 60,000 miles
Check the classified/cars for sale section on this site.
3) This will be my first used car so what do i need to look for
See above - those cars won't give you any trouble.
4) what other things do i need to know about an MM
Keep reading the posts on this site!

Hey, Im new to the forum...
Hi.
...and I'll be in the market of buying a Marauder in the near future(3-4 months) and i need some advise on things and yes it will be my daily driver
Ok. Let's get started.
1) Which year is better
The one you buy will be the best year. The minor variations between the '03 and '04 and some of the marginal flavors intra-model year don't amount to squat when you are talking about the joy of driving a MM. Don't fret the details. But if you must, search the forum for '300a', '300b', 'decontented', and '4R75W' and that'll keep you busy for a while.
2) How much am i expected to pay for a car with less than 60,000 miles
That'll depend on a lot of the same factors that determine the price of any used car. Since you ask here, expect some amount of modifications. A good number of regular contributors modify but in the real world, modifications do not return good value. Sometimes no value.
3) This will be my first used car so what do i need to look for
The Marauder doesn't have too many serious engineering flaws to speak of but there are a few common threads that have affected some. I would suggest searching 'ticking', 'blue smoke', and 'axle' issues. Those would be the ones I see most often brought up.
4) what other things do i need to know about an MM
You did the first best thing in coming here. There are other sites as well but this'll be the first time I've been in a place to mention it so I have no idea if this'll make it through moderation but read everything here and also read everything on www.motorcitymarauders.com (http://www.motorcitymarauders.com) and you'll will walk away with a very good impression of what the Marauder is all about. Just keep in mind, the drivers are not their cars so judge them separately.
THANKS FOR THE HELP
If you are still serious in 3 or 4 months about purchasing a Marauder, drop me a private message and let me know. Good luck.

Welcome to MM.net! Heed the advice from the above two members and you will be going in the right direction. In my limited experience on the site one thing that stands out is that it is very rare to see someone post that they are selling their MM because they just don't like it. When you get your MM and then get the itch for modifications i would suggest these two first: 1. Cruzer's armrest. 2. supercharging or turbocharging, according to what your budget will allow, and read everything you can on this site about this subject before doing so.
Again, welcome, and enjoy the journey.
1. 04
2. 20K + or - 2K
3. Tire wear, fronts = inner tread wear, rears = center tread wear
service records = pay attention to tranny oil change, fuel filter change and that correct oil viscosity is/was used. Look for/ask about modifications and then report back for answers.
4. It's big, powerful and aggressive and don't forget to drive it that way.
Good hunting,
Pat

Welcome!!
1)The '03 300A has a dash clock, map pockets, locking gas cap, full-size spare, and maybe one or two other things. The '03 300B loses those items, but gains traction control. The '04 has the second feature set, an optional sunroof and a few mechanical tweaks.
2)I paid $18,700 for an '03 with 42K miles last November, at a dealership. I'd say your ballpark will start somewhere around $15K for an '03 getting toward your 60K mile limit, and go well north of $20K for a truly low-mileage '04.
3)Refer to other members' posts on this topic, as they are much more experienced than I.
4)You're here, and you will find everything else you should know and more...

If you can find one in your price range go with the 04 MM. Problems with the 03 were corrected. Buying from a private owner on this site would be the best way to go. People here are passionate about their MMs, so you know the car has been well maintained and not beaten to death. Mine is a daily driver, year round in the snow belt of CNY. I've had a few minor problems, but nothing that would cause me even think of replacing the car.
