On CVN there is a plan in the works for a get together for any and all Panthers to meet up at Don Garlits Museum in Ocala. It is planned for May 26th. Possibly about 11am to meet up for chow then the Museum.

As things firm up I will post it here.

Sounds good. Not sure how the Swamp Rat would feel about all these non-Mopars showing up, but it's a great place to check out!

Ok, here is the scoop. Lunch at 11AM at the Cracker Barrel in Ocala. From there to the Museum.

Info on the Cracker Barrel is:

Ocala, FL
I-75 , Exit# 350
I-75 & Hwy 200
3801 SW College Road
Ocala, FL 34474-5725
Located off I-75

Tampa Bay Vics and any other Panther folks in the Tampa area interested in convoying over meet up at the Starbucks on Ulmerton Road across from the Carillon Center anytime around 9am and leave between 9:15 am and 9:30 am. This is just west of 275. Yahoo Maps says it takes about 90 minutes to get to the Cracker barrel from the Strarbucks. Hopefully 75 won't be closed down where we need to go.

Starbucks Link (http://www.starbucks.com/retail/locator/MapResults.aspx?a=1&StoreKey=90585&IC_O=27.896208655361%3a-82.8452017639714%3a32%3a+33785&GAD1_O=&GAD2_O=&GAD3_O=+33785&GAD4_O=&radius=20&countryID=244&dataSource=MapPoint.NA)

Yahoo Map Link (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=494787)

Garlits Museum Link (http://www.garlits.com/)

It is $15 to get in or $30 for an Annual Pass.

Sounds like it will be a good time. :banana2:

Bring your cameras and your smiles. :D

Good to hear from y'all!
Let's make a MM showing!
Plus, I haven't seen a certain Blue MM yet...
I'll probably skip the breakfast and meet at the museum, as I'm coming from the other way.

How about any of the North Florida SSM members?
Todd?
Ridin'clean?
Simon?
Mills?
:D

I'll give full details soon. We had longstanding plans for this weekend but I'm trying to vary them to take advantage of the moment. I'm not taking the MM out during the peak of lovebug season! It's already "bugged-out" like Matt's car.

I might suggest that anyone that's travelling use RainX on the windshield and maybe some Vaseline or WD-40 on the front bumper/header/grill area. The mirror caps, "A" pillars and the area above the windshield also take a beating! Maybe someone else has some good love bug season pointers to impart, also!

Good point J; I'm in SC/GA this weekend with the Ranger and I'm getting a few.
I'll still go, and know what to expect.
As the former owner of a freight delivery service in FL, I have scrubbed more than my share off.
I understand your concern with the Blue, but they will not harm paint if removed in a timely manner. My limit is 24 hours or less.
I'm trying a new sealer product from Zaino on the Silver, so hopefully the little bastages will slide right off...right...

I have had a more pressing need arise so I will not be able to attend this Saturday's gig. I am bummed as I was looking forward to putting faces to screen names and seeing some more great cars. I will catch up with everyone the next time hopefully.

I hope everyone has a good time.

Ditto! I'm looking forward to it, especially after looking at the website. Yes, we will be going. I'll see if we can firm up which Cracker Barrel the group is going to. I think there's one at 200 and one at 484 which is right by Garlits. I'll pass on info as it becomes available!

Starman, I'm sorry you can't go. Hope eveything's okay!

The Cracker Barrel in question is the one on C.R. 484, just East of I-75 near the museum. It is not the one depicted in Starman's post. Maybe I should do a Mapquest and post it.

Be back in a moment, don't touch that dial!

http://map.web.mapquest.com/?e=9&GetMapDataDirect=Gme5diw%2cb%3 a9u12%3b%40%24lh%2d751ut2%26%3 dyl%21u8l5f1%3a5%2dbxlabx%26y% 40wqwr5q%402sqf82%26u2gu%2c2%3 a9672%3b%40b20w%24%3a%26%40%24 lh%2d751utn%26%3dyl%21u8lh67%3 a%26%4020g6%2ahoev17b%24%3a94r n%3b6%24lyyv%3a94rn%3bur%3a5r7 n9ztx%2601xlzas5%401a0f7gg%40b s16ra9%402suwrad%40t290yw%26aa 50yt%3a94rwd6%24aqf1w%26az2u6% 24n5672%26f72u%40rau6%24ld67%3 a9w72%210%2a%3agz7n%26%40

The star shows the museum. I presume there's a Cracker Barrel at the C.R. 484 exit or within view!

Alex, Cracker Barrel is:13561 SW 17th Ct. Ocala, Fl.
Museum is 13700 SW 16th Ave, Ocala, Fl. Go North from the Rest. on 17 th Ct. 377 feet. Turn Right on CR 484 go 1 tenth of a mile turn right on SW 16th Ave. and the Museum is 2 tenths of a mile. Heck even I can find it, I think . We are hoping to be there at the Restaurant at 11. It has been 2 long since we all have been together. If you happen to remember it please bring my detail stuff. I will show you my Long tubes (still in the box until Tues, Wed.) and your Cobra manifolds (still on the car till then). I am hoping that the install guy can build me an H pipe, if so you get the X if you want. Ohrah. Dennis

I was referring to the Starbucks on Ulmerton Road (In Pinellas County) across from the Carillon Center. Meet up anytime around 9am and leave between 9:15 am and 9:30 am. This is just west of 275. Yahoo Maps says it takes about 90 minutes to get to the Cracker Barrel from the Starbucks.

Dave and Barb might be riding with me since they do not want to subject the paint on their car to the lovebugs yet.

The Wideband is still on the FedEx truck. I don't know where they get their employees...well, that is not true, as their initiative tells it all. The numb nutted driver took it out 2 days in a row and couldn't find the house. I finally called this afternoon and begged, cried and pleaded and they will deliver tomorrow. Driver will call to give me a time. I hope in time to make the meet. We will see. Once I have the unit in my hand I am going to http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/3/8/5/5/nutkick.gif pay my respects. Dennis.
