I'm booked solid for work all through June and the end of May ain't lookin' too good. Would any of you like to get a meet together? If so, where? I'm open for options. lol unfortunately there really isn't a "mutual" spot where we all could meet and have a good time without traveling a good hour. Thoughts?

Sorry about that - My schedule is a lot like yours!
I would like to get to the other side of the Sound in the not to distant future.
I don't know when I can, but what about the casinos in CT?

lol, I wish I could. I'm 19 though. I know in Lincoln, RI at Twin Rivers you can be 18 to go in. Me my girl and some friends usually go and waste money lol.

No arguments here!!! Cape Cod Classic Car Club has their weekly meet at Patriot Square in Dennis every Saturday night.

I haven't been to the Cape in over 15 years. Dennis used to be one of the quieter parts of the Cape - very nice!

I tried getting a meet started a few months ago with no sucess. I was in Newport, R.I. last Dec. I would like to come back to NewPort in July. I am unavailable 7/8 July, but the rest of that month is good. Anyone interested?

I think I'll be in Newport for an annual convention July 18-20. Can't do it on the 14th.

How's this as an idea?

are you sure that you have to be 21 to get into the casino , not just to drink and gamble, but if that is the case , perhaps that should be reconcidered so that everyone can enjoy it

Raudermaster

Foxwoods is 21+. Apparently Mr. Ragio and Midnite have their little heart set on a Casino meet. If that's the case, I won't be going.

Let's enjoy the outdoors. We can visit Foxwoods any time, though not high on my list. I'm in Newport July 18-20 for a convention. Newport may be a better location to pull in a few more members. Cape Cod is always good too!!

I may be overstepping here because i am fairly new to the site but i agree, while the casinos are nice ,they limit some people from being able to attend, how about a state park or resturaunt or something along those lines, but we need a rough guess in number of people that will be there to figue what type of place would be best suited , also an idea of were people are traveling from to try to somewhat balance the drive for as many people as possible.

Suggestion:

Newport, RI

Rum Runner II (http://www.cruisenewport.com/RumRunnerII.htm)- Classic Speedboat Tours
$18 pp 75 min. tour
http://www.cruisenewport.com/RumRunnerII.htm

11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm, 7:00pm

Enjoy a breathtaking tour of Newport waters and relive the speed and thrill of the chase. Rum Runner II, which was originally built for two New Jersey mobsters to elude the Coast Guard while speeding cases of "Hooch", offers the luxury and intrigue you would imagine of a high-speed bandit with a history all her own.

Aboard the Rum Runner II, you will cruise by mansions and former speakeasies that were fueled by seaborne smugglers.

This newly restored Elco Motoryacht, built in 1929 during the height of Prohibition, carries you swiftly and safely through local waters. Originally powered with Packard Engines, she has been re-powered with twin turbo-charged 350HP Caterpillar Marine Diesels.

There are also schooner tours too.

12 Meters are also available but probably pretty pricy.

I'm going on the Nefertiti that prior Wed.

We can have lunch before or after, depending on the time, at the Mooring, right on the water.

Or, get in our cars and drive out to Castle Hill Inn. http://www.castlehillinn.com/

No shortage of places to eat. Of course we'll have to cruise Millionaire's Row!

Easy there, I never stated anything agreeing to a casino. You guys live in the area, put your heads together and pick a spot.

Your efforts are appreciated. Unfortunately, the New England MM owners have very little interest in a meet!

Last year Paul Casey tried to get everyone together.

If a legal or private drag strip was available, maybe there would be more interest.

Pick a Casino and Im there, my parents have a summer house 30 minutes away from either casino. I know the areas and the hot spots for shopping and nightlife if a meet up there is decided.

i asked a few people that spend time at the casinos , and they said they were pretty sure that you can get in over 18 you just cant gamble, i will try to find out for sure if either mohegan sun or foxwoods allows it, anyone know for sure ?

eping NH has a legal dragstrip plus a road course, but the problem with that is that it is probably 5 hours away from everybody. its in northern NH. i am 18 so i dont think casinos are really in mind however i know of some good spots in leominster, my hometown(and an area that has 4+ marauders locally). i am a member of the eagles which hosts a lot of car shows and would be perfect to host our meet. also there are a bunch of open car meets in my area which is thankfully in the middle of MA so it shouldnt be too far for anyone. why cant we all get together at an open car show and show them what marauders really have? im sure they would be blown away by the number and dedication of us.

I will be going to the Cape on 7/21 and will be going to the Car Show that Mary mentioned in Dennis. If it is decided for RI, I would make the drive there as well. I like the idea of going to an existing show. That would possibly build some camaraderie for future planning. Thanks for listening.

Mom/Dad/brother/myself and my girlfriend all stayed at the Red Jacket and got one of the rooms right on the beach. It was a fantastic hotel and will most likely go back there next summer. We had to check out Saturday by 11 of course, and we just hung around in Dennisport at my grandparent's condo for the day but we left around 1 or so. I'm disappointed though, I only saw one MM while I was down there and it was parked in the place next to Skipper's Restaurant.
