Bought this wheel on ebay. Think I got an ok deal on it. LOL. Looks kinda familiar. Not sure what it was on though. Was $53 shipped with the tire.

lol definately a sweet deal, people are dopes. He has it as new, clearly not though since the SVT emblem is on there, and looks like it has a couple of scuffs on one of the spokes.

Do the spares have a polished face on the spokes? I've never had mine out.

No they are not polished, frosted all around.

Something about those wheels does not look rite, let us know what they are when youe receive them.

Beware there are some cast Commy knock offs out there.

You got a deal, especially since it came with a nice tire.

Depending on your RWHP you may want to go w/ Mustan Wheels and ET.

The Nitto DR do not provide adequate traction in cold weather.

I bought a polished one off of EBay and switched the tire :burnout: Now I have a spare non-polished full sized rim.

With a failing Trans, I had equal luck w/ BFG DR's and Mickey ET Streets ;)

Good price? Yes, but what will you do with a rim that doesn't match any of your other rims?

Did you buy it just for the tire or are you planning on shining up another 300a spare to match (or is matching rims only for sissies)?

I have a full size spare in the trunk also. I dont wanna spend the money to polish them. And I want to run DR's on them. So what I may do is have them powdercoated chrome with the clear coat. I have had many things done like that for my wagon and it looks just like polished aluminum. Plus I can get powder coating done cheap.

In the quad cities in Il. I go to a place cald reflex fitness in Milan, IL. These guys do a good job for me. They do alot of my fathers stuff also. Did his whole frame in blk chrome. Looked great! Also know of a place here that does really good ceramic coatings. Think he charged me 150 for my long tubes for my wagon. I will definately post pics of the wheels when they are done.

Hey guys,
My wheel and tire showed up today. Tire still has the nubs on it. Wheel is awsome. I think this was done by the factory. It has a totally machined face as seen in the pics and it is clearcoated. Like a factory thing. What would this wheel have come on? In person it looks awsome.

looks like the face has been machined, not polished.

I wonder what the history is of it?

Nice find

Well just looking at it, It has never been mounted on a car and the tire is brand new. It has a factory machine finish on it. I have no idea what this wheel was from or for. But again it has never been mounted. ????

If you look at the polished wheels they look like the outer surface was machined before polish (as compared to a non-polished spare which is almost in the raw)

Maybe this wheel was some kind of concept sample for finishes.
