Well I have been looking for a long time and I have finally found wheels that fit.
How do I know they fit? because there being made for MY car!
I'm sure many of you know the name "Boyd Coddington JR. Had a nice talk today with him and he will make the wheels for our cars.
You can see what styles he has to offer at boydcoddington.com. I am going with the "Smoothie 5"in the cast series, there design load is 8000 pounds so will handle anything we throw at them, they look a little like the bullits only polished. The right width (I'm going with 9") the right offset 50mm and hub bores machined for perfect fit.
The price will be well within most of our pocket books! I have told him about the site and he may come on as a sponsoring vendor. He may offer a club discount as well. check it out.

Excellent site. Thanks for the 411.
Check out the watch under accessories. I will bet that none of the other attorneys in Court get what that's all about.....

that's an interesting site. I like the "smoothie" myself. It's pretty close to the "Smoothis 5" though. You siad that these wheels are very reasonably priced so I have a question. maybe I'm a little slow on this one, but are the prices they list on that site for a set of four wheels or are they the price per each wheel? Cuz if it's the latter, then that's not to reasonable at all. But that's a great price if it's priced per set of four. For instance the 18"x 9.5" Smoothies are listed as $444 which is outragous if it's per wheel. And great if it's per set of four. I've seen other wheels priced per wheel, so that's why I'm thinking it's $444 per wheel.

Actually, the jury is still out on that one. I am cooking up some other ideas though. It is never too early to plan for the winter.

Those Boyd rims, will they be custom made for the offset that fits the Marauder?

I have been in search of rims for a while as well. If you are willing to buy a 17 inch rim you can purchase many American Racing rims that resemble the old muscle car look. Cragar also mikes a five spoke muscle car wheel in 18 inches that fits the marauder. Also I am selling my four marauder wheels so check the parts for sale section.

Hey Bill, are you sure you did your math right?? Keeping the stock 50 mm offset, and a 9" wheel, will be moving the outer rim area out apprx 1/2". Assuming you plan to use at least a 255 tire, I don't see how you will avoid rubbing the front fender lip. And if you ever need to decrease camber, this exasperates the issue.
My 17x8 wheels have apprx 62 mm offset and the 255's are at the apprx same front fender lip relation as stock.

yeah, should go with 60-65mm to be safe on 9 inch rim

There was no math to do, I just need to learn to type! I'm going with 18 X 8 with the stock 50 mm offset.

I don't know if you realize what were talking about here, You can buy a suit off the rack at very low price and it will fit well but it won't fit you! you can buy wheels at pep boys and take what they have to offer or you can have a set made to order "custom built to your spec's" not pep boy's.
The price is fair and with out quoting prices for the man the price you see on the site will come at a good discount for club members! call the man and get the price! This man is a legend in the world of "custom" wheels and world class street rods. It just don't get no better then this. I have seen guy's paying over $3000.00 for a set of wheels, believe me this is a bargin.

Unsolicited plug: Boyd Coddington cars rock and his wheels roll! If money were no object I would be driving one of his custom rides!!

Hope you asked for the c'bores to clear the rotor mounting clips/rings. They do serve a purpose.

Eventually we all learn a valuable lesson replacing size sensative OEM wheels.....I'm not sure what that is though

so in other words you guys are talking about spending about $1600 to $1700 for a set of custom wheels. That's all I wanted to know. That's too rich for my blood. I'd rather use that kind of money towards a supercharger, or some other mods. I think the stock wheels are fine. But ofcourse that's merely my opinion. To each his own I guess..........
