This is what sometimes happens to the daily driver. I stop and get some groceries on the way home from work. Get home and take the dog for her walk. Walk back up the passenger side of the driveway. JFC! Who the heck hit my car. I toss the dog back into the house and go back to grocery store hoping the ass is still parked there. Of course not.

Well after using much elbow grease and a little Meguirs paint cleaner I'm a little happier now.

I feel for you bro! If I were to post all of the parking lot dings and dents I have been the victim of, (with absolutely no notes or anyone taking responsibility), there would not be enough bandwidth on this site to handle it.

This is just some idle musing, but it is my opinion that anytime a MM gets dinged or hit, and the loser who did the damage does not leave a note or wait for the owner, they do so because our cars are infinately nicer than theirs. I believe their attitude is, "well serves them right for having something better and nicer than me." Typical "entitlement" thinking.

Steve, I park away from everybody, not in two spaces diagonally or anything like that, but far enough away to expect some sort of buffer zone. Almost without fail, some DA parks next to or in front or back of me. I guess I will have to go back to school to study group dynamics to understand why people are prone to such behavior. By the way, how are things in BFE?

OK, I have to relate this true story.

I was in high school. My buddy & I and our girlfriends were in his car at Burger King. A guy pulls in next to us in a European Luxury Sedan (I don't remember) and bumps my buddy's car with his door when he gets out, then walks away. Since he didn't even mumble "sorry" or anything, I get out and yell: "Hey *********! You just hit my car!" This moron walks back over, bends down, looks at the door, runs his hand over it and says: "Looks like it didn't make much of a difference." Admittedly, my buddy's car WAS kinda beat, but that wasn't the point.

Now the story gets better. Moron-brain walks off into the BK leaving his wife in the car. My buddy's girlfriend, who's normally very quiet, says: "Watch this." When she gets out of the car to put our trash in the bin, she SLAMS the door into the side of the other guys car, then SLAMS the door into his car again when she gets back in, leaving a huge crease in nitwit's car. The look on his wife's face was priceless and as we drove off we could see him in line inside trying to look out and see what was happening.

I'm not proud of what we did, but that arrogant moron needed to be taught a lesson.

OK, I AM proud of it... :D

Within the 1st month of ownership of my Marauder I got dinged about 4-5 times in the parking lot at work. Needless to say, I now park away from everyone. I can walk the extra distance to save my car.

I just got a new daily driver so Im gonna get those spots fixed and put her away in storage. The Marauder has graduated to weekend cruiser status along with my Supra.

My, my brother's, and every other Marauder that I have ever seen have bumpers that are loose in that area.

Don't believe me? Try grabbing yours in that area and see how poorly it is held in place.

My wife hates going anywhere with me due to that fact... She made fun of me last night, and said that I deserved to get hit:argue: and that it was due to my arrogance toward my car in that I was on my way to the Avenue in whitemarsh to show off my car in front of the ricers, and neons with fart cannons......needless to say, I stopped talking to her for a while. still no apology!

Hmmmmmm, you're waiting for an apploogy from her? Yea, let me know how that works out for you.

a page from my experience:
Things women do not say:
#1. I'm sorry
#2. You were right
#3. We need a car with more power
#4. Yes, I do like it when you pass gas
#5. Yes, I do like it when you scratch your @$$
#6. I'm so glad you like my mother
#7. Oh, you already took out the trash
#8. Thank-you
#9. Who are you gonna please with that? (I'm glad they don't say this one outloud)
#10. I have enough shoes
#11. I am too skinny
#12. I really like you because you like me for my _______ (mind?)
#13. Yes, we should part amicibly, let me fold your clothes and stuff and you can come pick them up, I'll help you load them. :flamer:
#14. I spent too much money today
#15. I don't have to change, these clothes are fine.
#16. I like my natural hair color
#17. Go ahead, get that ______ (hobby interest-perhaps a new MM toy)
#18. I spend too much time on the phone

that's enough. I'm starting to cry. Too many bad memories.

That sucks about the scratch man, at least you pretty much got it out. Steve, as for parking in the way back, I learn no matter how far you park, there is some ********* who's very jealous of what you drive, and they'll make it an effort to damage it in someway. There was not 1 imperfection on my car when I bought it. A month later, me and my g/f went to a Wally World, I parked quite far away (it got me a hit from my g/f.) When I came back out, had a nice scratch mark right along the passenger fender. People just suck, that's all.

I finally gave up on this and bought a "mule" to drive everyday to work and to the mall. I have driven it since last August, parked it every where regardless
of who is next to it and the damn thing has yet to get dinged. Drove the MM to Home Depot, parked way, way out. As I came out I saw a pick up pulling a trailer full of lawn mowers and lawn mower operators away from next to the MM. Yep. A big scratch down the right side door. Not a "keyed" type scratch but more like button on the back of blue jeans.

Just another reason why I don't normally carry loaded automatic weapons.

I really can't stand women like that. They are self-centered and selfish and don't care about anyone but themselves. They have no respect for other people's interests in life and no tolerance for people who are not exactly like them. Stand your ground. There are decent woman in the world. They are just difficult to find.
