Looking at the marauder interiors, it looks like the only difference between the light grey interior and the black/dark grey interior is the leather on the seats. Is this correct? The reason why I ask is that I like the darker interior but know a couple of cars with the light grey interior. Is this just a matter of switching them out with a dark colored car? Can the leather for Marauder seats be purchased from Mercury (with the embossed God head)?

I believe you can buy the material that covers the foam from Mercury, but it's not cheap.

It'd probably be cheaper to buy a set of seats from a wrecked Marauder.

The factory seat covers are available but the suggested retail of covers for
the front seats and rear seat along with the cover for the fold down armrest in the back comes to a total of $2203.14 before any taxes!

I too thought of this idea when I was looking for a MM and although at a quick glance it looks just like the seats are the only color difference there are many more pieces.

Besides the seat covers there is some interior plastic trim and more importantly (expensive) the seat belts are also different.

There are other companies that make new interiors for any car. They could reskin your seats, get you new carpets possibly even a new dash.

this is one company I know of.

I saw a stripped marauder, that a guy bought at auction with no seats. he used the entire interior from an "ultimate GSE" (?) a GM with console and floor shift. it was a light tan color. it really made me look twice, a black marauder with a tan interior...

I did not know that it was so different. I've always preferred black interiors (especially with two kids). I don't think I will buy a Marauder with a light interior.

Light color interiors get dirty fast w/ kids & pets. Stick w/ the dark charcoal interior.

I have researched this extensively- the bad news is that the seats in the MM are unique and there is NO 3rd party that offers any type of upholstery for our cars. I do have a shop lined up in Miami that can do this BUT they need a set of old seat coivers from a MM to use as a template. And no- you do not get them back. :(

Seats, seat belts, headliner, visors, overhead console, sail panels, a-pillar covers, b-pillar covers (along with the seat belt mounts), rear deck panel, third brake light. Maybe a couple of more small parts.

:poke:
the seats in a Crown Vic sport or a Grand Marquis LSE should be the same without the Godshead embossed into the leather
