I have sent in my registration. This one is real close to home. There is more then one campus site for Pitt Comm. I have to assume it is the main Campus. I can give them a call on Monday morning and ask.

Hi gents. I live in Winterville all of 4 miles from the PCC campus. I'll definitely go to the show. I've been shopping for a Marauder. If I have a show-worthy MM, I'll take it. If not, then I'll take the Bullitt.

I'll definitely look you guys up.

The show will be at the Pitt Community College main campus. The road is Reedy Branch Road, and runs behind the campus. The campus is dirctly across from Fire Tower Road. Hope that helps and hope to see you all there.

Is there somewhere cose we can meet so we all arrive together?

Steve_NC
06-07-2007, 03:59 PM
Sure. Give me a call and we can pick one out. There is a diner close by we can meet at and have beakfast.
I will be in Raleigh on Sunday the 10th at the Marriott Crabtree Valley. I have a conference on Monday the 11th.

If it's OK with the Professor, let's meet at the diner. Time and address?

Is this the correct address?

Pitt Community College
1986 Pitt Tech Road
Winterville, NC 28590

Yep, that is the correct address for the college.
The diner is on Fire Tower Road. I am not sure of the address, but it is close to the intersection of Fire Tower and 903/11. Are you coming in on 264?

Professor

Hi fellas. If you are talking about the Carolina Diner, it's just east of Memorial (11) on the south side of Firetower Road. You can't miss it. It's big and chrome.

I was thinking of the diner that is on Fire tower road. I dont know the name of it, but it is just befor the intersection leading to the college. I am headed to Raleigh this afternoon to see Jim and work out the times. I am looking forward to meeting up with you all next weekend.

Sounds good Steve. Let's agree on a time. The show starts at 10:00.

Professor, you going to make it?

How about you 96DiamondVIII?

Anyone else?

Professor

I plan on being there. I'll have the silver Merc detailed out, but I am undecided as to whether I'll register her in the show. She's not show ready. The engine, exterior and interior are all detailed and the paint is in great shape, but she does have some daily driver blemishes (a paint chip here and there & a couple of small nicks).

fastblackmerc

Mines a daily driver so it's not "perfect" either.

I was thinking of meeting at the diner between 8 and 9 am. Does that time sound OK? Registration is from 9 - 12 and the show should end at 3pm."should"

Professor

Works for me.

Anyway ... I look forward to seeing your cars. My daughter and I will probably be at the diner. Might actually grab a bite if it's not too crowded.

Wish I could join you guys, but need to knock off some high priority items on the Honey-do list.

Prof, FBM, any interest in making the drive down to GVL in July for a pool party?

Congrats to Jim on Top 25 placement with fastblackmerc!! Way to represent the Carolina Marauders!! Jim & Steve, it was a pleasure seeing both of your sweet rides. Nice to know some classy guys who are taking good care of their Mercs.

Jim .... I still need a test drive. Maybe in Wilmington or New Bern this summer.

All the best!

I AM in Greenville ..... North Carolina ;).

But seriously ... I do appreciate the invite. Honestly, Greenville, SC is nearly a 6 hour haul from Greenville, NC. That's about 12 hours round trip and a hotel stay, for me. But maybe I'll catch you at one of the other events this year. I've never seen a Dark Blue Pearl and I'd love to see one in person. (Right after I bought my Silver Birch ... a DBP was put up for sale in NC with 30,000 miles and asking only 18,500.) I love the SB ... but the DBP would have been in my garage had it been available when I first started looking. Anyway ... thanks again for the invite.

Oh great ... you're going to give me a bad case of the supercharger bug. Then I'll be forced to start hiding Benjamin's in a shoebox to save up. Then I'll have to send quicksilver in for a "tune up" ;) When I then get her back, I'll just tell the wife that I don't know why it has that strange whine to it ... but the mechanic said it is normal. :P (The hard part will be explaining the frequent replacement of tires. :D

I'm sure that I'll be quite humbled by a S/C Marauder like Red Line. :bows:

That aqua Galaxie was sweet. I would have voted it best in show. I let my daughter use my vote to vote for the 70 Boss 302 Mustang clone as Best in Show.
