I KNOW it's appropriate for our stock cheapie internal Cobra motor.
I have seen upteen pics of fried number 7 cylinders as a result.

You shall see my pics this weekend. I can just imagine how bad it is.

I think this mod will be 'preventative maintenance" on my new motor as well.

The prototype is in the design phases.

It will be incredibly easy to install and take about a half hour for someone who knows how to use a hammer and utility knife.

Zack,

The little I know about this mod is that it involve dropping the trans which is a big "let's wait for this" for me. Now, your post led me believe that the kit you're are now working on could be installed without that hassle.

Am I right ?

You are right, all from the top.
You wont even have to take the intake manifold off to do it.
The EGR or Upper manifold at most to install it.

Im waiting on it to be made, Barry's car will be first, or Mine if Im not that far along with his at the time.

Once, the proto is made, this guy can churn them out way faster than the demand for them.

Zack, put me down for one. I'm begining to search for a Cobra shortblock and I will do this mod while I have the engine out.

Find a Cobra shortblock if you want to go really slow. It has 8.5:1 compression. Performance suicide.

If your engine works good, dont worry about it.

Well, I don't think the stock one will hold up to the 2.8" pulley I got but I can try.

Zack is correct. I apologize. I was doing so much work to the webite and posting results and photos this weekend I just started cutting and repasting in the various websites we post into. I thought I had posted some information about this before when someone had questions about our product and if we had any intention of a Marauder-Specific kit.

I have removed the post.

OK,
Just wanted to give anyone who is interested an update.
On Saturday we got a Marauder trailered out to Omaha, NE for the cooling kit fitment. Here are some of the highlights:
The kit we have prototyped worked exactly as we have planned. There were some small adjustments to the hosing lengths, but the fittings, O-rings/retaining plates, and fitment was where we wanted it to be.
The intake manifold needed to come off the car to clearance a small section on the passenger side rear where it interferes with the head fitting for the passenger side. This was completely expected and was not an issue. We found that to get the manifold off we needed to remove the alternator and the front crossover tube. This became the only issue later on because when I pressure tested the system before start-up the crossover tube was leaking at one of the O-ring seals. Luckily I remebered I had some extras laying around from my Cobra and we changed the O-rings on the crossover tube and we were good to go.
The Ford crossover tube O-Rings are an odd metric size. We have an O-ring vendor we use for our head fitting and I know he can get the metric size we need but there is usually a special order and a wait time of 1-2 weeks. In light of the crossover tube having to be removed for the manifold removal, we will probably secure a 100 lot of the metric O-rings and just include them in the kits so there won't be any issues on that side.
Pressure tested the cooling system, ran the car to full hot cycle, no air bleed problems. We got the car into the garage at about 10:30 AM and were completely finished by 3:15 P.M. and ready to drive it out on the road.
A realistic time frame would be approximately 3.5 hours. I was taking my time, taking photos, getting measurements, had some food, and having the take the crossover tube back off with the cooling refill is where the extra time would have gone. All work was done without a lift.
As far as "special tools" go, the only thing I would say the average car guy may not have would be the tool to disconnect the main fuel line from the injector rail. I also chose to loosen the EGR tube nut at the exhaust manifold because it allowed the EGR tube to swivel out of the way while we lifted up the manifold. This nut is 1 1/16, so this wrench may be larger than the average guy has. Loosening the nut is not a necessity but I chose to loosen it.
We have created the install instructions and the installation photos. We will update the Marauder section of the website in the next few days. We should be able to have some kits finalized and ready for the 2nd week in October, unless my Metric O-Rings are on inter-galactic backorder.

Thanks for the update, but you posted it on the wrong website.

DUH :stupid:

BTW, I cant even compete with the simplicity of your kit. It really looks good.
Best of luck with the sales, you will have all of them!
