Hey guys. This topic has been already discussed, but now it happened to me. I need the EVIC and i didn't purchase the warranty. Anyone have any experience with getting a used EVIC or if they replaced the solenoids successfully? Most junkyards around here don't have new (00-04) crown vics.... I think my only option now is to just find the solenoids and change em, if that's possible. I heard that on here. Any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS GUYS! -Shawn

The EATC may not be your only problem.

I brought mine into the dealer and they had to replace the air box
and the motor valves as well.
The diverter valve inside the box had split and was binding inside the box.
The box had also split and was leaking air.

So they replaced the Airbox, 2 vacuum motor valves, and an EATC kit.
Total cost with Premium Care = $100.

This is a common problem with CVs and GMs.
