There is a locking ring around the connector that you need to turn counter-clockwise to remove. Good luck and take it slow..And don't touch the bulbs, use rubber gloves if available...

Guys I know about the manual, thats what i was using to get the thing out, the manuals says NOTHING about how do disconnect the electrical wires that are wrapped in a wire loom. The manual was the FIRST place i looked I need to get this finished befor emad dad comes home and flips a *****.

LV,

Sounds to me like you're doing more than just changing bulbs. The whole assembly will come out with bulb on it with the "twist" that drobin described.

Also, as my IT guy tells me when I call about computer problems...RTFM...bulb replacement is in the Manual.

Good Luck!

Normally with these babies it take two small flat blade screwdrivers to release lock tabs on each side of connector.. I'm not in MM today, but will look for u when I get home...U can figure it out, I know u can.......

Drobin , that was it, 30 seconds after i read your post i got the damn thing to disconnect, it requires some co-orination, i used pliars and an emergency door key that fit perfectly with the LOCKING TAB , thanks so much.

Whew...Sure am glad this worked out.

If we're going to be responding to emergencies here, I'm going to page through the Gall's site for what's hot and what's not...Any ideas?

Go Rhino! pushie bar, Unity spotlight, Whelen light bar, and Federal siren would just about do it...don't forget the baby center caps on black steelies...and at least a 4-antenna farm...

Dont know what a ballast is, but btw is it illegal to drive with one HID in and the other halogen?

Considering that you don't HAVE an HID system, no...both your factory original and your replacement "HID-type" bulb are halogens...but sometimes the cops will take notice if your headlights are markedly different from each other...best to have them both the same.

You got a pix of that RC? And Mac, how about a MM.Net hotline complete with a red flashing phone that could be circulated among the on-call MM.Net emergency service guy?
