So, last week I'm on vacation. Part of my vacation plans were to have a good friend and fellow Marauder Owner over to both have our headers installed at my local favorite muffler shop. Well, unfortunately, my friend and shop owner had some serious family issues and couldn't make our appointment. So, instead, we went over to my place and had some fun working on cars.

We installed a Dyno-Jet Wideband Commander and switched out the bezel to match the factory gauges. We replaced the front sway bar hangers with grease-ables. We took a look at the rear suspension and found the car was riding on the stops and replaced them with shorter and modified 'ricer' stops. We tweaked the Naakes front and rear and finally gave the car a Phat Lip with a Mach1 chin spoiler.

I felt horrible about the missed header appointment, however in thanks for the other work, my good buddy, Hotrauder sent me a Phat Lip of my very own. It arrived safe and sound yesterday. How ironic. It's HIS birthday and I get a gift!!!!

This isn't the first time I've ended up with a 'Phat Lip' for my efforts, but it is the BEST! Ha-Ha!

Thanx for giving me my first car project to do in my new home (once the garage is emptied out, of course). As always, you're invited to the 'install party'!

I had a great time working with you on your car. It's that kind of time that makes me proud to be a Marauder Owner and member of this site.

Thanx Dennis.

You can modify the factory stops, Ive done it, Kenny Brown did it.
Any lowered car should have them modified.

I could have, but for less than $10 the poly replacements from Energy Suspension accomplished the goal.

I'd like to know more about the "grease-ables" Rich?
I could see just tapping the bracket for a fitting; would that work?

Maybe, but the grease-ables had little tracks int he bushing to allow grease to spread. Ask Hotrauder about them. He bought em.

I believe so, Jim. The bushings themselves have a groove around the middle of the bushing for the grease to travel thru. The fronts are fine, the rear brackets do not fit the Marauder so I have just replaced the bushing itself and greased the hell out it. The greasing has smoothed the ride front and rear. Of course you have no idea how much nicer it rides off the bump stops:rolleyes::D
Dennis

Jim, you have a PM.

Jim, perhaps a hybrid will work. Den got the 2 bolt style front and rear (stoopid vendor). :bop:

The front was fine. Rear has the T style mount. Perhaps you could use the bushing itself from a rear kit and tap and zerk just the mount. That would give you a greas-able rear (wait, that doesn't sound right) if you use the chanelled bushing from the kit. You would have to line up the tap/zerk with the hole in the poly. You may be able to just buy the chanelled bushing. If it works, I'd buy a set off ya and I'm sure D would, too.:nworthy:

:Offtopic: I'm sorry but I have to say very nice house, put that on Long Island and it would go for $6-$700,000 without a blink
