I turned 47,500 miles and decided it would be a good time for a new belt and tensioner. Do you guys have any tips for installing these two items? I read that you need a 3/8" breaker bar but can i use a ratchet with a piece of copper pipe over it? The parts should be here tomorrow.
Thanks,
Matt

you probably can, be careful you don't break the ratchet though
Unless you have arthritis, and I see you are 19, a ratchet with a small extension is all you need.

RedMerc04, I have a suggestion: Substitute Iron Pipe, about 3/4" X 8", for that copper pipe and you will get leverage as opposed to beding the copper pipe around the end of your ratchet. Could be difficult to remove the copper pipe from the ratchet.

Glad to hear things went well. I did not see this Thread yesterday, or I would have said that even my Mother-in-Law could change those parts :D
Now....if you add a Vortech...eh... things get a little trickier.... I just replaced mine a few weeks back. It took about an hour, and that included modifying the new Tensioner.
 on a job well done!
