ive done many searches throughout the 2 weeks and cannot find a company who makes front lowering springs for grand marquis?? let alone many other mods...so anyone know the secret sites and they arent very many forums for cv or gm either...
thanks in advance
Try oemsprings.com. I had them make them for my 95 and they were perfect.

He didn't say what year he had but it won't work for a pre 03. Different suspension.
You can try http://www.coilsprings.com/ and get a custom set made.
Don't drop it too much because you only have so much adjustment to get the alignment right afterwards.

Is cutting one coil off a bad idea? I want to lower mine, too. I'm hinky about cutting the springs without knowledgeable advice, but I'd do it if anybody says it would work without screwing up the geometry.
I have heard that the Eibachs have a very stiff ride.

6thirty6,
Any reason you don't want to try Ford CV Police springs and cut them? I'm sure that you could match up years GM to CV and get something very close to what you want. Just a suggestion.
There have been MMers here who have cut their stock front springs to lower the front end. I think I remember Joe Walsh having done this quite a while back.

I cut 1 Full Coil from the Front Springs on my MM. A little bit harsher than stock, but WAAAAAY more comfortable then the Eibachs. The price was right too ;)

PS - You need an alignment IMMEDIATELY after the cut
