Well i finally did it, i bought a porter and cable 7336 orbital buffer and went to work on my marauder. it took about 16 hours (including prep work of taping all the moldings and trim), over the course of 4 days, but the results are amazing!!! There is still a few scratches here and there, but i didnt use the super aggressive polish since it was my first time. also you will not get buffer burn with the orbital buffer unless your an animal, lol. Here are the steps and products i used

hand wash
hand wash with dawn
clar bar
hand wash
poorboys ssr 2.5 polish (Medium grit) with orange pad
poorboys ssr 1 polish (fine grit) white pad
red moose glaze, black pad
poorboys ex sealant, black pad
poorboys nattys blue paste carnuba wax, blue pad

i used microfiber cloths to wipe the car down between each of the steps. all the products with buffer cost around $225, which isnt a bad deal since i can easily detail about 3 cars with the quantity i bought. i bought all the polishes, glaze, sealants and wax from www.detailedimage.com

here are some pix, the first ones are close ups showing the micro pitting and spider webbing in the paint, then the folloing pix show the finished results.
