View Full Version : SCT Live Load
Has anyone played around with the SCT Live Load software? I'd like to raise my part-throttle shift points without disturbing the full-throttle shift points that were programmed into my tune. Is this possible?

To make changes to a tune (before using LiveLoad to load it into your Xcal2) you will either need the services of a tuner who has SCT's software or you will need to buy the SCT Pro Racer package. LiveLoad is simply the software that you use to load a tuning file onto the Xcal2.
OK.... thanks for the clarification.

You can do it with SCT's ExtremeTune software. You do need your tuner to supply you with your tune file in .xtr file type though. Your tuner should not have a problem supplying you with it, just ask for it. ExtremeTune is available free from SCT's website. IIRC correctly, if you load a file you have altered onto your Xcal2, you lose the ability to change the settings for that file on the Xcal, you have to go back to your PC to do any changes.

That last part is correct - if you use the extreme tume on the file yuo loose the user setable parameters on the flash tuner.

Don't forget to back up your original .xtr file somewhere before you go playing around with it.

I agree with pantheroc. I like to re-name mine with a consecutive number at the end each time I make a change. I think I'm up to 10 or 11 now since I changed to 4.10 gears last fall. I know others like to use the date to identify their tune changes.
