View Full Version : Peanut Butter Air Snorkel Mod.

Okay, maybe this is a little nutty but it works. The lid from a 28oz. jar of Peter Pan peanut butter fits perfectly over the hole left when the air snorkel (silencer) is removed from the rubber air intake hose. I ran a bead of Gorilla Glue around the hose and the lid simply screws on. I like the underhood color of the green lid and the increase in intake noise. Just passin' the word, folks. I read about the low-buck Home Depot pipe mod but think this is even cheaper. I'm prepared for you acidic responses. Maybe I have too much extra time....

I wasn't going to tell anyone this...

This works! I didn't gain any numbers on the dyno, but my 0-60 times dropped to 6.03 using the red cap from the creamy smooth Peter Pan.

I've know we got another Ducati Motor Cycle owner on this site so at least one other will understand this.

I have a friend with a new MHEvolution Ducati.At the local bike hang out one of the "bike of the week,crasher"types comes over and says those mufflers look like soup cans.
Well soup cans are too small but he found that 1lb coffee cans make perfect slip on covers,so he put 2 on it and headed over to the hang out the next week.
Funney thing was it was almost an hour before anybody commited............
