Hi guys, does anyone make a complete polyurethane body bushing set for this car, to replace the stock mushy rubber body bushings? Has anyone used it? Comments on whether the ride got too harsh inside the car?

Thanks

Your stock body bushings are "mushy" ?

The Energy Suspension universal mounts look similar. I haven't seen any in person to compare to my old ones though.

Have you ever gotten under your car and squeezed the stock mounts in between your fingers? They are extremely soft and compliant rubber. There is nothing wrong with my mounts, but it is obvious that this is allowing the body to roll on the frame. It looked like the stock body mounts are different thicknesses (compressed) depending on where they are located on the car -- I would be concerned about using an uncompressible mount like poly and having the height be totally wrong in some of the mount locations. Oh well I guess I will leave them alone for now.

You might want to check in on the Police Interceptor Bushings. They may be made harder and tighten up the body flex. I did this on my Impala. I found that one space had no bushings at all in order to give a softer ride. If you are going to Auto Cross or Road Race this really helps tighten the car up. If you are just cruising you are better off with the stock bushings.

I would assume the Marauder would have at least as good parts as the CVPI for the suspension bushings. It is really not that big a deal, just something I was thinking about while I was under the car swapping ring and pinion the other day.

The bushings on my '03 CVPI are nor 'mushy', and neither are the ones on the Marauder.

For a street car you do want some resiliency though. If you are really concerned used steel spacers with shims.

What did TMF use whne he put his body back on the frame?

OK OK not mushy per your guys standards, whatever you want to call it. A durometer would show they are a lot softer than poly or solid mounts. That to me means mushy.

The sway bars I got from Reinhart came with poly bushings.

I am not sure if the links are available separately.

On the rear, the ride is not so harsh. I never did the front other than Eibachs...and they are indeed...HARSH!

I'm talking about body bushings (body to frame) not end links.

Those stock bushings also help to lessen cabin noise and such. Harder bushings will transmit more road noise and vibration into the cabin.

You might like that though.

Are you implying I like vibration? Oh dear!

Whatever spins your crank!
It will help with body roll and flex for sure, but you'll give up a bunch to get it.
I have the Naake QA-1 suspension enroute, and after driving TAF's car with it, that setup delivers the goods while not sacrificing comfort.
I can't wait to drive my car with it.... TAF's car was a bit "underpowered" compared to mine....:D:D:D

When I ordered my body mounts, the guy said there are no specific part numbers for a P71. They all used the same parts, Marauder too.

My bad....;)
