I am just about ready to put on my Steeda pulley, but have one question.
Would it be beneficial (even acceptable) to skip installing the larger Water Pump Pulley and just get a shorter belt?
The way I see it, the only reason we put the larger WP Pulley on is to take up the slack in the belt.
Underdrive pulleys free up HP by turning the accessories at a slower rpm.
So the answer is no, stop thinking so much! You might get hurt.

Zack,
I put the control arms on last week. Pretty nice. Rear end comes around like it should. I haven't put it through its paces yet.
It took me longer to clean up the bushings than anything else. Tahnks for faxing those destructions...

Do both and save the $$$ on the belt.

Dragcity:
You could just use only the crank pulley and a shorter belt, but you won't get all of the benefit of installing UDPs. The power gain is minimal in the first place, so why reduce that gain even further?

Thanks for the responses. Just wondering about the physics behind all this. I am relating it to a Bicycle chain and sprockets. Seems to me, small crank (Crank Pulley : Pedal sprocket) and small drive (WP Pulley : Rear wheel sprocket)
Ah - ha ! Just answered my question.... Guess I had to write it down....
So - Should I get a LARGER WP pulley and longer belt ???
Don't worry Zack, I didn't hurt myself (much)
Hey, what's all this steam above me????
