I hope you mean the rear seat...

Just pull up on the forward side of the seat really hard, it pops right up. It's a little tricky putting it back but once you see it out you'll know what to do.

no, no, no my friend, that is a bad idea. The seat pops up, but dont "pull". Push the rear seat cushion towards the trunk, it will pop out. It helps if you push the seat frame which i s basically the whole bottom of the seat cushion.

I think he's talking about the fronts.

Thankfully I realized that was the appropriate procedure for reinstallation.

When I was guessing the first time taking the [rear] seat out I just pulled up on it with some force and it seemed to pop out. Looking back, and if I ever do it again, pushing it towards the rear of the car would help.

And, if for some reason you are talking about the fronts, there are 2 bolts holding down the front of the seat and 2 nuts on the back "feet" of the seat. Just be careful taking those off so that nothing breaks.

once you unbolt the seat the seat belt buckle should unbolt from seat track. I'm not sure if it will fit inbetween the seat and console without scratching up console.

I think, if you are talking about the front seat, that it is easiest to just take the seat out. Remove the 4 mount points, disconnect the electrical connectors underneath, take off the head rest, and pull the seat. Took me all of 5 minutes or so to do by myself.

Then you have more room to work and figure out what you want to do.

What the heck are you doing that the seat belt is stabbing you where it is located?

Put a soft cloth, sponge, or piece of foam between the buckle and your hip. Might work for you and definitely less work.

You woulda though if law enforcement had to sit in these things all day long that the seat belt situation would have been figured out...

I think the gun keeps the seatbelt socket from getting in the way.

Maybe you can carry a pistol then? Even a water pistol?

Are these four bolts or two bolts and two nuts, connecting to the floor or to the mounting rails?
2 bolts in the front, 2 nuts in the rear attaching the seat to the body.

The cops take off the seat beats when pulling into residential areas--ready to dodge and run or jump out if necessary---maybe you may have seen a cop recently in a home area ---chances are--when patrolling thru --you won't see them wearing the belts......check it out---
